So now that I know for sure I'm having a little girl (YAY!)

I'm trying to lock down the name...

so here's the deal- I've always loved the idea of naming my little girl Jackson. I knew I would feminize the spelling but I really liked the name.
When I suggested it to my bf- he actually said he LOVED it.

1. It is unique for sure (he likes that- he is a Smith and all his family have "ordinary" names)
2. I am a huge Michael Jackson fan and she is due the day the MJ died 3 years ago- I thought it would be a cute tribute.

So am I totally nuts? I googled and apparently I'm not alone. There are lots of girls out there named Jackson and all have variations of their names spelled.

Also its super trendy right now to give girls unisex names- like Mason, Madison, Evan, Dylan, Taylor etc. I'm probably missing a million. So she won't be the only girl with a traditional "boys name".

I think I've narrowed it down to Jaxen as the best spelling- although I'm open to suggestions.

Everyone but my dad loves it or rolls their eyes lol (I'm a huge MJ fan)

I was thinking to give her a super cute feminine middle name to balance out her "boy" first name.

I like Jaxen Emma, Jaxen Maya, Jaxen Grace.....

thoughts? Do you guys like it?

One more thought- I grew up with a "weird" name and spelling. (My name is Rennata). I never hated my name and always embraced it. I corrected people who spelled it wrong but I never had a big issue with it...all my siblings have "different" names. My brother is Joao. My sister is Doralice. (pronounced Dora-lees-eh) and my other sister is Georgina.

I LOVE Jaxen Grace.....I think it's a strong name and looks like a girls name.

I always think of nicknames to be sure I like them and if people call her Jaxs that would be kind of cool.

Our first daughters name is Avery, which is more popular as a boys name. We love it though

As far as Jaxen have you thought about spelling it with a "y" to make it more feminine? Just tossing out the idea.

I was thinking the same thing

I like Jaxyn Emma...my sister's daughters both have "boy" names - Kieran (Irish boys name) and Mason, she calls her Macy, but I call her Mason, because my sister also had a dog named Macy, I can't call my niece by a dogs name...lol! Anyways, it's super cute

thanks guys. I've seen it spelled Jaxyn or Jaxynn- cute variations too. I thought I should keep it simple though which is why I was leaning towards Jaxen but I do like those ways too and I like how it makes it feminine.
