It has started...and it will eventually be my undoing.

At the end of the pregnancy I always go crazy. Like if I've been thinking I was emotional now, forget that for the final two weeks or so...that was nothing, the final 2 weeks are INSANITY.

So what is IT? I can't talk about the baby enough.

I want to sit and talk about how it'll be when she's born. I want to talk about my other labors. I want to think about all of it.

So who wants to chat baby things with me?

I know, I think I probably am bugging dh. We went on a trip yesterday, and the topic came up and we were sort of discussing the other kids, and after the conversation had ended I was thinking "I want to talk about this more." I was like...hmmm...need some new friends who've got babies to discuss all about babies and labor and stuff with

DH said yesterday he could see her doing something. He was talking about the things babies do, cuz we were talking about how the different children would react to her. I thought "I can't see her, I never can see them because I know they'll be similar to the others but different." Can you see him?

I am hard to annoy .

On the topic of "picturing" babies, I have this image in my head of what this kiddo is going to be like through elementary school. It kind of weirds me out a little bit. Also, I hope I'm wrong, because I am picturing her as kind of awkward and geeky (since DH and I both were), and I don't want to doom the poor girl to that fate before she is even born! I need to think of something else, somehow... like how my labor is going to be SO much better, haha .

I "saw" DD before she was born. Unfortunately, she looks nothing like the baby I saw. The baby i saw had brown hair and DD is blonde blonde blonde!
I can't really "See" this little guy at all. Boo! Any time I did it was in a horrible dream...thankfully I'm past that stage so those dreams won't be coming true.
I talk baby to SO all day and I drive him completely nuts! He doesn't like talking about the baby or the fact that he could be here in less than 11 weeks.

My first DD was blonde(ish) for the first 3 years of her life and now she has really dark hari, so you never now

Courtney has none of the social issues Nick and I had, so don't let yourself go down that path, cuz it totally is a fear of mine! Do go down that SO much better path though, I've told you it will be though, 2nd labors are not like first labors!

I know you're hard to annoy, or we couldn't have been friends this long...cuz I was a super annoying 7th grader,

I've had dreams where I saw the baby (not this time, but previously) and they were never anything like the baby I saw, which is good, mine have been cuter than my dream babies, .

Sill SOs they're trouble, not knowing we should just talk about the baby all the time

I can't get anything done at work because all I can think about is baby. I try not to talk about it too much around certain people, like DH's family, because I don't know if they are getting annoyed or not. So glad I have you girls

I haven't "pictured" baby too much, although I am wondering if this one will be the spitting image of me and turn into DH later - DD was the spitting image of DH when she was born and now looks completely like me. Funny how that works out

I keep thinking about holding LO in my arms for the first time, hoping that we skip the NICU this time and are able to keep baby with us the entire time at the hospital. I also kind of wonder what my labor will be like...DD's was an induction, but a fast one, I was only in labor for 5.5 hours and I slept through much of it, one can only hope that I go naturally this time, but have a similar experience, minus the tearing part...lol!

I feel soooo bad for our new neighbors because they have a 4 month little boy and i chatted and talked their ears off the other night. Ha ha and Nick is soooo tired of herring about how Leo kicks all the time.

I'm having a mix of not being able to get anything done because I'm thinking about baby, and then nesting...the two don't go well together /.

Labor is what I wonder about. I don't wonder too much about the baby, because well all 4 of mine have a lot of similar traits, I think I know sort of what's going on. I do on occasion wonder if there will end up being anything to the spot that showed on her heart at the 20 weeks (defect, downs, etc.).

I've torn all 4 times, so I don't think I'll be skipping tearing, but tearing for me has never been a big deal...oh I lied...I had an episiotomy (how do I spell that) with number 2.

Yeah Nick's response to Terra's kicking me is like "Yeah, she does that."

I had an episiotomy and tore on top of that, the doc told DH she put an extra stitch in for him...thanks, doc! LOL!

Since this is my 2nd, I don't know if that is "normal" for me or not, so we shall see what happens!

DH came to say goodnight to me last night and gave me a kiss, then leaned down and kissed my belly and said goodnight, I love you to baby, that is the first time he has done that! Maybe all the movement he felt the other night finally made it a little more real to him. Oh and DD kissed my belly when I was putting her to bed too...melts my heart, I hope she still loves this baby when it's born...haha!!

Yeah, dh shows occasionally that he's looking forward to her coming. But I know since she isn't growing in his stomach it isn't on his mind quite the way it is on mine.

Tonight for instance he did something strange with his hand and then made fun of himself, and then I imitated a baby doing the same thing with their hand (cuz they do it in the startle reflex) and he said "Awww, Terra's gunna do that, it'll be cute, and I'll make her do that." And I told him "No, you won't!" And he said "But it's so cute."

LOL! Men are so funny with this stuff!

So, last night we were sitting watching TV and the baby just kept rolling and rolling, making like a rainbow arch with some body part, I couldn't tell because it kept happening over and over and so quickly. I kept telling DH to look and he would and LO would stop...lol! He finally saw a slight twitching out of the corner of his eye, but I am sure he was annoyed with me for pointing out something that would stop everytime he looked, plus he was trying to watch his show...haha! I was more into what baby was doing than paying attention to the TV!

Oh, and baby kept poking something out through my belly button, it hurt like a you know what! Getting up has been fun, getting up off the couch that is...this has all started much earlier than it did with DD and DH can't believe it...haha!

How are we all doing today?

I really canīt picture the baby yet.
My baby is still Max in my head!

I had such a great labor with him... only 5 hours, no induction, epi, vaginal birth... just joyful.

This time I started worrying since I was diagnosed with glucose intolerance.
Itīs not full blow diabetes but they are treating me as if it were and Iīm scared.
Dr wants to do a growth scan on Apr 30th to estimate the weight... she guesses 10+ lbs right now and that scares me. Max was 9 lbs and I had a 3rd degree tear so 10+ lbs scare me a bit

I feel like all I can think right now is about that. And it sucks.
I was happy and looking forward to birth a couple of weeks ago and now I am just plain scared.

Paola, I hope they are waaaaay off on that birth weight! And here is to no tearing for you too!

I really hope your labor is as easy as it was with Max!

You know what?
I donīt even mind the tearing. Itīs just the idea that it could be worse that scares me.

If I have another 9 lb baby with a 3rd degree tear I wouldnīt mind (I was amazed at how fast I healed and how little it hurt), but having a 10 lb baby and, say, a 4th degree? It freaks me out a bit. Just because it is unknown.

And also, what if the baby is born and gets hypoglucemic?
Heīll need to be injected with a sugar solution to prevent his body from burning brain cells for the lack of sugar (thatīs one of the complications they explained on Tuesday).
So that scares me too.
I remember they checked Maxīs glucose every 3 hours and never explained to us why (it was because he was too big and even though I didnīt have GD with him, he coudīve been hypoglucemic too). So I was just mad at the nurses, but now that I know, Iīm not mad, Iīm scared!

This whole thing sucks. Blah.

Sorry guys, Iīm not a happy person today
