When people ask you how far along you are do you go by months or weeks? What about when baby is born, how do you say their age?

Lately I've been saying, "I have 8wks or less left."
With babies, I use wks until 8wks....then I typically use months.

I usually go by months for pregnancy
For babies- I, too, say weeks until 8 weeks old and then go by months. =)

I say weeks for both. I can never remember what "month" of pregnancy I'm in and don't want to calculate it while someone is standing around. I use weeks for baby, but usually lose count after 16 or so. Then I just start using months.

i use weeks left with pregnancy! i am counting down so i know right off hand, I have 10 weeks left (a little less now!)! For baby i use weeks until about 12 weeks then months. Even now when someone asks how old Ava is I say almost 16 weeks instead of simply saying 1 year

I use months for the pregnancy - people can understand 7 months better than 29 weeks.
For the baby I used weeks until we got to about 3 months and then I switched over. I don't know why, but it seems harder for people to translate 13 weeks

I use months for the most part. When another mom asks me or someone that is pregnant I tell them in weeks cause they have a better understanding time for pregnancy.

If someone asked me today, I would say I have about 8 weeks left.
For the baby, I usually do weeks until 2-3 months and then start saying "X months old"

For pregnancy, it really depends on who I am talking to, how they ask (are they specifically saying how many weeks). I don't really do the months because you are technically pregnant for 10, that would be really confusing for someone who didn't know that...lol! I usually go by weeks or say I have "x" many weeks left until my due date. I have also just said, I am due at the end of June...lol!
With baby, I typically use the number of weeks until about 2-3 months, then I start using months, which I use until baby is about a year and a half, then I say baby is a year and a half or almost 2...lol! I am so all over the place with this one!

This exactly! Except I say I'm due the middle of June (around the 20th, but my water broke 11 days early with both boys, so I'm not expecting to make it to the 20th ).
It seems so weird that I probably have less than 10 weeks left now!!!

Ditto to Cary. I get some really confused looks when I use months because of the 10 month thing. When the baby comes, it also depends on who I am talking to. If I get a strange look after I say 'weeks', I do the math and tell them months. Most people just nod their heads anyway. haha!

I'm so bad at months, so I answer in weeks unless they MAKE me.
