I found out today that I am 50% thinned and around 1 cm dialated. Will find out by the end of the day if I am on restricted activity or not. I am hoping my guys cook a little longer! The boy is just under 3 lbs and the girl just over.

Long story short, after being sick for 3 weeks straight (one of the reasons I haven't been posting much), we all got the stomach bug. I went to the ER to get fluids when I wasn't holding anything down, and they sent me to L&D because I was getting contractions (which is very normal for me this whole pregnancy). After monitoring me for an hour or so they were about to let me go, but decided to do a cervical check and found I was around 1 cm dialated, then monitored me for another 2 hours. I went to my regular doc today and she said there was definitely a change from when she checked me 3 weeks ago.

ahhh the stresses of pregnancy!

Hopefully it was a change just for a change and not really for the contractions, I mean I expect to be 1cm dilated at some point, long before I have the baby, but I've never had multiples before...what's your due date?

Oh no! Tell those babies to stay put! They need to bake longer! It sounds like they are growing well though.

Those little ones better stay put! Even if you're not put on bed rest, try to take it easy and keep your feet up as often as possible!

I hope they bake a while longer! How many weeks are you? I was 1 cm dilated with DD for about 6 weeks, then I had to be induced, of course, I was only carrying one baby.

Come on babies behave!!

And just a stupid question... I was told that after having a baby (even if you had a c-section and not a vaginal birth), the cervix never closes 100% again.
So it´s like you´re ALWAYS dilated a little.

I found that to be true when I was checking my cervix while TTCing.
Maybe that´s why you started dilating already?

Anyways, take good care of yourself mama and rest up!

Ahhhh sounds like you've had a very stressful and uncomfortable few weeks! I hope they can bake just a little longer...about 3lbs each is great though! I'm glad to hear they're developing well!!!

Thanks ladies! I'm not on bed rest (yet!). I have to see my doctor next week, and if there are more changes to my cervix then I'm sure I will be. I guess as long as there isn't more progression its not a huge concern. I'll be 30 weeks on Saturday...hoping I can keep them in there at least another 6 weeks!

Paola - I guess its not uncommon to dialate a little more when you've been preggo before, but the doctors said it was still really early and were more concerned since it was a change from a couple of weeks ago.

Eek! Thanks for updating us. Lots of T&P that those babies keep baking. Gets lots of rest even though you're not on bedrest... I know thats hard to do with that cute 2 year old running around. I forget sometimes that we were in the same DDC/PR (as well as with Paola) before I became non-existent on there.
