I didn't know you had 2 trolls in your DDC! I knew about the one who faked miscarrying the twin, but wow 2. That's so sad.....

Yes, the second faked having twins as well. When our first real DDC member went to the hospital after her water broke, the troll suddenly posted about her twins and them coming early. I guess she wanted to be the first to post her birth story. She had been a part of the DDC from very early on, but her story never really added up. No one was very close to her, but she had definitely posted plenty. I don't understand why people do it.

apparently because they have NO LIFE! I mean really who has the time to make up all the information and steal pictures off the internet just to feel like people cared about her? I know I dont have a minute more of time a day to entertain anything else much less a fake life. those people really are sad. That sucks that there was 2 in your DDC! man people are getting desperate to fit in somewhere! Oh well!

Hope you are having a good week!

We've had one confirmed troll in my DDC and another suspected. Why do they always fake twin deaths?

Just looking for the more dramatic story I guess.

Note to trolls and potential trolls... the more far-fetched your story, the less likely everyone is to believe it!

34 weeks & 4 days

I have a meeting in 45 minutes and figured I'd squeeze this update in over lunch. This has just not been a good week, so I'm really glad it's my Friday.

Last night was weird. I started getting very odd cramps in my uterus that I haven't experienced before. They weren't BH contractions (though I was getting those too), and they weren't my typical stretching cramps. They also weren't constipation or diarrhea cramps because they were centralized in my uterus. They definitely weren't following any kind of pattern, except being constant. So they didn't have me freaking out, but I was so incredibly uncomfortable. I think it's just the joys of being in the homestretch.

My sour mood from yesterday (and really all week) has definitely spilled over into today. It didn't help that on my way to a very negatively-toned (budget cuts, travel moratoriums, furloughs, layoffs, etc.) management meeting, I dropped my cell phone. The entire face shattered. So now I get to spend at least $100 to get a new phone and more if I want an even better phone. I have (had) an HTC Evo that I really love and would have kept for at least another year. That plan is shattered just like the freakin' phone. So tomorrow I will be shelling out cash that I'd rather spend on something for Jackson.

On a positive note, I only have 21 more working days. Technically, it's like 25 days since we squeeze a five-day schedule into four days, but I only have to drive to work 21 more days before Jackson is born. And that's if he comes on time. While that makes me super-happy, it also makes me feel like I really need to get back to work because I have about a dozen things to wrap up before I head out for the weekend.

Sorry about your phone. I have an HTC evo as well. I'm not loving mine right now, I think it was the first model of that phone. We renew in October and we're looking at other phones like the Samsung Galaxy s3 or iphone. Let us know if you replace your phone or if you get a new brand one.

I'm leaning toward the Samsung Galaxy, but DH thinks I should get the iPhone. I used to have a different Samsung phone and really liked it. Sprint just started carrying the iPhone recently, though, so I don't know how I feel about it. I'll let you know what I decide tomorrow because I definitely can't use my phone anymore.

I vote Samsung. I'm about sold on the new GSIII...I have the Galaxy Fascinate, and I LOVE it. I'm a phone junkie, and it's the first cell phone I've had for longer than a year without getting sick of it! I thought about waiting for the iP5, but I'm not sure I want it anyhow. I've heard a bunch of bunk about the iP4, lots of folks say that it's not even close in speed and such to the new Galaxy.

Either way, sorry you're still having a crummy week. At least it's your Friday!

I had a Droid Incredible for a long time (the baby brother of the Evo), and when I finally upgraded I went to a Galaxy Nexus. I adore my Nexus! DH is actually out picking up his S3 from Fedex right now, and it will undoubtedly be a great phone too.

Okay, I'm sold. GSIII it is! DH is up for an upgrade very soon, too, so he'll probably want to mess around with my new phone for a while before deciding.

I'm an iPhone girl and have no desire to switch to a Droid! My husband is the opposite, though. You ladies can have them all.

We have the iPhone 3G (FREE with upgrade! We got them when the iPhone 4 came out ) and we love them! We haven't had an issue with speed, but we also mainly use the phones for Internet, texts, calls, and games. I know DH sometimes watched TV shows on his and I haven't heard any complaints from him.

34 weeks & 5 days

I had a biweekly OB appointment this morning. All good things to report. I'm up 21 pounds according to them (20.5 pounds according to me ). My fundal height is right on target, which always surprises me because I feel like my belly is huge. My OB says it's just right though. BP was 108/72, so I've had absolutely no issues there this whole pregnancy. Jack's heart was sounding good as usual. And he was quite the mover during today's appointment. Actually, he was quite the mover all night. I'm not sure what that's all about because he usually isn't super-active overnight. He was a little squirmer from about 2:30am onward though. I hope this is not going to be his routine after he's born.

She read my birth plan and had no issues with it, other than a couple of things that aren't really issues:

1. I prefer not to be induced at all, even if I'm well past my due date. She said that they won't let it go past one week. In all honesty, I can't imagine that I would want to go past 8/26, so I think I'm okay with that policy. I just hope it doesn't come to induction at all. If the time comes, though, we'll discuss it again. I know that stillborn rates are higher when a woman goes past 41 weeks, so I definitely want what's best for Jackson when we cross that bridge.

2. In the event of a C-section, I want William to be with me at all times. She said that's fine, though a lot of husbands do leave during the actual procedure. She just said that they would need him to leave during prep, but he could return to the room for the C-section itself.

3. I want one of us to be present at all routine newborn procedures. She said the only one where we can't be in the same room is PKU testing, but she said we can escort the baby to the room where it's performed, wait right outside, and escort the baby back.

I think those were the only minor things that she said would be slightly off my plan. And those minor modifications are fine with me. She is even okay with my wishes that if my water breaks but labor hasn't started that they wait at least 8 hours to induce. I just really don't want them to use Pitocin if I can avoid it, and she's totally cool with that.

I also completed my FMLA paperwork yesterday, so I could take it into her office today. If possible, I'm supposed to provide it to my employer 30 days ahead of the anticipated leave, which would be the end of next week. I met with HR a while back for about 30 minutes discussing everything. And they gave me a big packet, but they neglected to include the "Certification from Healthcare Provider" form. Since it wasn't included in my maternity leave packet, I just assumed that it was something that I would request directly from my OB's office. Obviously I was mistaken.

So I'll turn in my portion of the paperwork next week and then ask for the doctor's form. Then I'll have to get my OB's sign-off in two weeks at my next appointment. My HR department is filled with a bunch of really nice but really incompetent women, so I am not at all surprised that they failed to provide me with the form. Oh well. My notification to them of my leave is the most important step now, and the doctor's authorization can come up to 15 days after that (according to their packet).

Now I'm heading out to get groceries, and then I'm going to drop off more recycling. This afternoon, I need to clean the kitchen and vacuum, though I might save the latter task for DH, depending on how I feel. Every evening, I have been really crampy with a lot of BH contractions, so I might need to rely on DH for the vacuuming part.

I think the modifications sound acceptable...I think the major portion of it is that you want what is best for Jack in the end...so ultimately, you will do what you must when the time comes I'm sure. I'm glad your doc was agreeable and didn't make the discussion a nightmare!

Enjoy your day today, and try and relax...you are getting far too close to having Jack, it's wiggin' me out!!

I think the key word when it comes to a birth plan is FLEXIBILITY. Ultimately, I want what is best for Jackson. There is always going to be the ideal scenario, but the likelihood of everything going to according to plan is pretty low. I told my OB that I felt a little diva-like handing her a two-page birth plan, and she told me that she's seen ten-page birth plans.

Mine is structured to show my ideal situation but then lists (in order) the next steps I'm willing to take in each stage of labor. And I state throughout that I'm flexible but want them to discuss options with me at each stage, instead of pressuring me into procedures. DH is studying a copy of it as well, and he's going to be my advocate throughout the process.

And, by the way, you think you're wiggin' out at how close I am to Jack's arrival! I'm counting down the days, and 37 days seems like way too few! And to think he'll technically be at term in just 16 days makes my head spin!

That all sounds good to me! I'm not sure if I want to go with a written birth plan or just tell DH about my wishes.

Sooooo close! When do you start weekly appts?
