I've been getting itching around my panty line! Freaked me out until I checked online and found out how common it was. We don't have Vagisil here, though. Hope I don't have an issue with dresses bc that's my main summer game plan! I bought some super flowy rayon dresses from an Indian store. I'll have to wear them with leggings, but they're gonna be a lifesaver in this humid weather that's coming...

Thanks, but No, headache is still here. Excedrin Migraine usually works, but I can't take it. Tylenol just isn't the same. Been in a dark room all day and only just now to the point where I can keep my eyes open for more than 5 minutes.

So sorry, Robyn. Excedrin Migraine is the best, and it's such a bummer that you can't take it during pregnancy. Hope you can get some relief and it's gone tomorrow.

Migraine is pretty much gone (finally!). Today my head has been tender so I've still been staying off the computer and not reading. I've been watching my Friends DVDs since I know those episodes so well and I'm okay with keeping my eyes closed and missing parts.
I was thinking about how I haven't had a migraine since the fall and how it was just three days after I stopped the baby aspirin that I got my first migraine in months and did a quick Google check and it turns out that baby aspirin can help prevent migraines. I went back on the baby aspirin last night so hopefully it'll help!
I'm on my own tonight. Bert went to go see a Red Sox game and he stays the night at his grandmother's in the suburbs when he goes since she's right on the subway line and he can drink what he wants. They were telling her about the baby today. My clapperboard came in the mail today so I think we'll try to take the photo tomorrow and announce on Facebook and then everyone will know!
Going to stay off the computer again, but wanted to give a quick update, especially since I never did an official one yesterday.
Thanks for all the well-wishes!

Glad your migraine is better. That totally makes sense about the baby aspirin. I'm sure I don't need to still be taking it, but I've just kept it up the whole pregnancy. I was thinking about stopping at 32 weeks, although I know 36 weeks is the common recommendation.
Hope you don't end up with another nose bleed. If it's not one thing, it's another.
How exciting to be announcing on Facebook tomorrow! And to be 12 weeks!

I'm glad your migraine is better! I used to get those as a teenager and they were awful...

12 Weeks
Pregnancy is now "Facebook official!" We took the photo after DH got home this morning and I posted it to Facebook. I won't be posting it here because by the time I blur out our faces and last name, there won't be much to show, but I think most of you are Facebook friends with me anyways (and if you aren't and want to be, just PM me). I'm so happy with the way the photo turned out!
I'll have to retake the bare belly photo later when DH wakes up from his nap. I am wearing my maternity pants and put down the band a little too low.
I'm so excited I have only 33 days left of work!!! By the end of this week we'll be in the 20s for the countdown!
I'm also so excited to be 12 weeks. My OB says that at this point I have a 98% chance of having a healthy baby and only a 2% chance of losing the baby. It makes me feel so much better.

I know how much it sucks not to be able to take Excederin migraine when you have a migraine. I get migraine's from time to time and cannot take any type of Excederin bec of how much caffiene is in it, it makes me sick! I actually feel one coming on and it's not making me feel good. So I am glad you are feeling a lot better!
Congrats on making the announcement! The pic turned out so cute and I loved your idea!!!

12 weeks 1 day
Back to work today! I was glad that I didn't have to spend much time under the florescent lights because the time that I did spend under them made me feel dizzy and my head started hurting. I never use the lights in my office, I have lamps that I use. And the classroom I was in most of the day, the teacher rarely uses the lights and she gets great light from the huge windows. I almost passed out at one point while under the florescent lights!
Today I got my first Mother's Day card from my MIL. That was so sweet of her to do for me!
Today some co-workers were explaining Pinterest to me. I have had it for a few months now, but never use it because I don't understand how to find things and how to browse. I think I understand it a bit better now, but I tried looking up "baby nursery" and the same photo pops up a million times! I don't understand why it shows so many duplicates.
In pregnancy related developments, I started leaking colostrum. Not a lot, just a little bit. I thought it was too early for this to be happening with a "first" pregnancy, but apparently it does happen!
I'm now going to go back to resting and relaxing to keep trying to prevent this migraine from coming back. My head is still so sensitive I just don't trust it with much still. Too bad because I downloaded the new Sookie Stackhouse book last night and really want to dig into it! I might force myself to wait until the weekend, though, because if it's anything like the rest of the Southern Vampire books, I'll stay up until I finish it! Can't stay up all night reading these days!

Hope your migraine is on its way out and gone for the rest of the pregnancy!
So sweet that your MIL gave you a Mother's Day card.
Pinterest - It was very helpful for me in pinning my own things from various websites when I was planning the nursery. You can download the "pin it" button, which basically serves as a bookmark. So if you're browsing the Internet and come across something that you want to remember, you can easily just hit the "pin it" button on your tool bar. I've found that more useful in making my own boards than actually searching Pinterest for ideas.
That said, I have found that if you're more specific with your search, you might get better results. Like I typed in "gray nursery" or "teal nursery" or "jungle nursery," and that yields better results than just "nursery."
I have the first seven Sookie Stackhouse novels, but I think I've only read the first four. I know the novels aren't exactly like the series, but I don't want to ruin the series by reading the novels too quickly. So I always enjoy it when a new season ends so I can read the next novel. You're right, though, they are the kind of books that you just want to read in one sitting on a rainy weekend.

Thanks! That helped! I found some cute wall decals that showed me how I could make a panda theme work for either gender. I was thinking it might not be girly enough if it was a girl, but then I found this:
I think panda will be the nursery theme either way! I've loved the idea for at least a month now and usually I would have changed my mind by now, so I think it may be here to stay!

I feel like they are so different from the TV show that I'm perfectly happy to read them in advance. They are so different that I'm actually able to separate them in my mind as two separate series. It's like the TV show takes the basic premise behind each book and then goes completely in its own direction. The only one where I just hated what they did with it was the maenad storyline.

I totally agree about the maenad thing! That was my least favorite season of the show actually. I just felt like they dragged it out way too long!
I LOVE the panda idea. You don't see that all the time in nurseries. Very unique and super-cute too!
Oh, you should also search "panda nursery" on etsy. There is some really cute stuff there too (wall decals and the like).

Thanks! The cherry blossoms are genius and it works! I can't believe I didn't think of that, but all I was thinking of was pandas and bamboo! I can do the pandas with bamboo for a boy and pandas with cherry blossoms for a girl! Part of what I like about it is I can't make the nursery too matchy-matchy because it isn't a common theme and there isn't a whole lot out there for panda themed nurseries. It's what I like about the koala theme, too, but after finding those decals I'm sold on pandas. I was leaning more towards pandas anyways. That wall decal is actually from Etsy: Ababywall by ababywall on Etsy I'll definitely browse Etsy. Everything from my wedding either came from Etsy or I made myself after finding the idea on Etsy.
I agree. The maenad thing was done so much better in the books. She was a little part of it, not a main part like in the show. It'll be interesting to see if they plan their shooting schedule around Anna Paquin's pregnancy or go Twilight and have Sookie pregnant with a vampire baby! They've probably already shot this coming season so they probably won't even have to worry about hiding her pregnancy. There is no way they would be able to hide a pregnancy with that Merlotte's uniform!

The cherry blossoms for girl and bamboo for boy is so cute! I am so excited for you. I can't wait to see it all. I guess first things first, finding out if it's a boy or a girl!
I was wondering about the Anna Paquin's pregnancy too. Maybe it won't be an issue at all. You're right, though, the Merlotte's uniform (or pretty much any of her clothes) wouldn't exactly conceal a pregnancy.

I know! I cannot wait to find out the gender! I'm really hoping they can give us a good idea at my ultrasound next week. I'm chomping at the bit to start the registry and start planning the nursery! This is also why a 5 month long engagement worked for me. When I'm excited about something it's all I want to think about and I just get sucked in. Everyone told me that I wouldn't be able to focus on details with the short engagement. Well, I had plenty of little details (even if they didn't all get noticed with the freak snowstorm we had!) I did all the wedding stuff in the first three months and even waiting those last two months was torture. I would have gone crazy with a traditional year-long engagement!
