I'm so glad that you found a doctor you love! Sounds like he has a great sense of humor. I'm glad he put you on Prometrium just in case. My doctor didn't think I really needed it either, but it made me feel like I was doing something to help keep the baby growing and did help my peace of mind.

Not too long until your first ultrasound!

Thanks Karin. I really did like his laid back attitude like I knew what was best almost. It was refreshing.

So glad the doc prescribed Prometrium, just in case. That added reassurance has to feel good. And he sounds awesome. I'm just so happy that everything is working out for you. Can't wait to hear how the ultrasound goes in just 2 weeks!

The reassurance is pretty amazing from one little itty bitty pill a day.

Well fasting is terrible. I can't go in until around 11 or so and I am absolutely starving and so nauseous that I will be lucky if I get through this without vomiting. They asked me to fast for 12 hours before my prenatal bw so I am doing my best but it is just terrible. Wish me luck...

Ugh. I can't believe you have to wait that long. I got in at 8am for my bloodwork. I couldn't have gone that long without eating.

My drama queen side thinks I am going to absolutely starve to death and parish before noon but I am trying to just not think about it. Stupid fasting. I made a super good dinner last night too and I really want some left overs I am making joe starve with me teehee so that I don't have to smell food. I think he already snuck something but it didn't smell and make me salivate so we are good. three tiny more hours. Then I am going to a buffet with my mother so I can eat until my heart's content. Though if she cancels on me like she did yesterday, I may have to hunt her down

I can't imagine fasting while pregnant! I wouldn't be able to do it! Good luck and enjoy the buffet!

My mother ditched me Annnyways. Blood draw kind of sucked. NINE tubes four of which were the huge ones. Goody. I just got home and made some leftovers so hopefully I will feel better after I eat!

Oh and I found out that the labs ordered were not the normal prenatal labs, but a workup of things that could cause miscarriage. So that means I have to go do it all over again for prenatal labs lol.

Sorry it was such a massive blood draw and that you have to do the pregnancy b/w all over again. Hope your leftovers gave you some energy. That's a lot of blood!

I was wondering, because I never had to fast either. The only time I did was for the fertility testing. Hopefully you won't have to do that again!

From this link: Blood Test Tube products, buy Blood Test Tube products from alibaba.com

I had 4 orange, 1 yellow, 1 purple, and 3 blue. It was a TON. I am not excited to have to repeat that much bw whenever they order the prenatal stuff.

My prenatal bloodwork was only 6 vials on the smaller size. So hopefully they won't take much. Also, if they're using this blood draw for some of that work, it could be even less blood. And I definitely didn't have to fast for that one.
