I'm so happy for you! We didn't get to hear the heartbeat at that point (only saw it), either. The tech said that it uses too much heat and could hurt the baby since it's so small, so it's probably for the best that you only saw it. Isn't it the best? I can't wait to see pics! Cutest little blobs ever at this point!

6 weeks 5 days

Ok time for a proper update .

Yesterday I left work at 1 so DH and I can get lunch together and so I can change and what not before the appointment. We get there on time and did wait to long to get in with the u/s tech. Before starting the u/s she explained since I am really early there is a possibility of the not being able to see the baby especially if my dates were off. So then they started with the u/s and within seconds there our little jelly bean was and then she pointed out the hb and that was just amazing to see. I could not believe me eyes and a huge sigh of relief came over me. Then they took pics of both of my ovaries and looked around and did measurements. The tech said I was measuring right on to the date; another relief. Since I tracked my cycles I knew it had to be pretty close to the estimates of course a day or two difference was possible since I had know idea when I O'ed due to not tracking my last cycle.

Anyways, the tech left, I got dressed and waited in the waiting room for her. She came out a little while later with my pics Then as we were walking over to the doctor office area I ran into a girl from work. She was walking up to the receptionist as we were walking to sit down and wait for the doctor. I did not get a chance to talk to her since we were called in while my co-worker was still talking to the receptionist. Of course my first thought is oh no! She knows...it was pretty obvious why we were there especially since I was there with DH and holding the u/s pics in my hand. This morning I had an email from her asking, "so I have to ask... do i know a secret of yours? I can keep a secret if it is what I think it is." Of course I responded and said yes and hush please

Then we met with the doctor... she said everything looked good, etc so we just went over basic stuff and then we set up our next appointment Oct 5th. I will be going for my routine pap (oh yay) and hope to hear the hb this time and see our baby again After we scheduled the appointment I went to the lab for b/w and a urine sample. Then we got to finally leave. On our way home we got caught up in a bit of traffic and I ended up leaving my phone at home so I couldn't post an update right away. Then when I got home it was a bit crazy. I had to call my parents, update my MIL, call my SIL's, brother, and sister to give them all the news. Everyone is beyond excited us!

My m/s is really starting to pick up... it's been horrible so my doctor called in a prescription just in case I need it. She said it isn't uncommon for it to pick up and become worse from weeks 8 - 10. At this point, I can't imagine it getting worse although I haven't actually thrown up; just a constant feeling of wanting too.

Yesterday my MIL brought me banana popsicles. She was running out and asked if I needed anything I said no. Then I said I could go for banana popsicles lol. Then explained that when we were sick as kids our parents would always give us banana popsicles . Popsicles have been a life saver so far. It's the only thing that makes me feel better for a couple minutes anyways.

Anyways....thank you again everyone for following my ttc journal and thanks for all the support!!! I have no idea what I would have done w/o out. Ok, I'm going to post my u/s pics

So cute! Great detail in the photos! Glad you saw someone who can keep a secret.

Weeks 7-8 were horrible for my morning sickness and it started to ease up a bit from week 9 forward, although it was still touchy. Hope yours doesn't get too bad! Don't be afraid to try random foods that you think would make the nausea worse. I had two weeks or so where all I could eat were chips and salsa and burritos. oh, and we have a theory going that craving Mexican food=boy since Adrienne, Karin, and I have all had it so beware if you start craving Mexican!

Interesting Robyn. I will keep that in mind. Last week when I was feeling good, I was craving spicy food this week I have not been craving a thing, nothing has been appetizing to me.

Well... I have now had 3 baby boy dreams. Although my theory is, I dream the opposite of what it actually is (at least I did for my sister and SIL) so I'm not sure what to make of it.

Awwww cute baby pics. You got some really good views for your little bean

Hopefully the banana pops help. Cold stuff, even crushed ice helped me. I also took the prescription because all day nausea made it hard to concentrate at work and I didn't want the pregnancy to affect my work. If you do take the prescription, up your water and fruit intake right away. I'm sure you will understand why

Interesting thought on your little bean's gender. I dreamt boy and my gut said boy, but I'm having a girl. I have horrible "premonition" instincts though so I shold have figured I was having a little girl

Hope you find some m/s!!!
