Thanks Crystal for the offer!! I need to find out if there's wifi at the hospital I'll be at.. sooner rather than later... I'm feeling like it's going to be happening soonish. No contractions or anything, but I'm just feeling like it'll be "soon".. of course, that could mean absolutely nothing. LOL.

x-posted from my DDC

Well, I just got home from my ultrasound to check on the progress of the baby and see where we stand regarding induction, etc.

The good news is that the high blood pressure isn't affecting the baby at all.. she's about 7.5 pounds at this point. She was practice breathing during the ultrasound and went on a kicking spree making it difficult to get some measurements until she calmed down. Everything looks great there

The MFM doc agrees with my dr about delivering sooner rather than later, so tomorrow we'll most likely be setting an induction date as well as stripping membranes for a second time. Since my dr said she didn't want me going more than a day or two over my EDD, looks like my baby will be here by Friday at the latest....

But...still have to wait til the appt tomorrow for it to be all official, etc

From an email I sent a friend... (I'm on my phone right now)

Ugh, I don't know if I made the right decision... I wish David would have come to,this one.

I had the choice of having her send things in,and getting induced tomorrow.. Or getting lab work done, going back Friday and setting the induction for Saturday. They're planning on a 2 day induction routine (double balloon early aft day 1... Then the drip the next day).

So I chose to wait til Friday. No change in cervix, head still high, so higher chance of intervention. The c-sec rate on induction there is 25% so.. Ugh.

So that means I'll most likely go into the hosp on Saturday to get the balloon done, then come home and go in again Sunday for most likely a Monday baby.

At first she seemed to,push for me waiting, but as soon as I did, she started doing the hum haw thing... So I dunno.

I'm just at the lab now waiting for blood stuffs.

Good luck! My friend was at the point of talking induction for being overdue and she said it was so difficult making the decision. Either way I am sure your baby girl will be here happy and healthy. Can't wait to "meet" her!

It may not matter anyways

been up since 3:30 with what I thought was gas pains... Pretty sure its not that now after several hours. They're inconsistent in intensity and have slowed a bit over the last hour and a half, but are getting more on a schedule than random ones here and there.

Well, quick update.. Its now been 15 hours of contractions where they've been lasting about 60-75 seconds and about 3-5 minutes apart. We went to,L&D at about 1pm,and was sent home after 2hrs of monitoring. My Bp was through the roof, but everything else was ok.

I went from my cervix being closed and not effaced yesterday to 80-90% effaced and 2cms dilated.

since then, I've been hanging out at home nicely doped up on morphine. Its wearing off now, which sucks, but I sent DH to bed in case we need to go,back in the middle of the night.

kinda sucks since everything is stalled, but at the same time am grateful that they want to try to,avoid intervention.

I have a feeling it'll be a bump of morphine that will drive me back!!

Kaia Madison is here after an emergency c-section. After we got to L&D they noticed her heart rate dropped after each contraction ... So after sev hours, we made the decision to do a section. We even bumped a lady out that was supposed to,get hers next because of the issues. Turns out we made the right decision as she had flatlined during the section,(because her heart rate was dropping before, I don't believe it was their fault. So after doing chest compressions, her heart started beating and she stabilized!

she is:
Kaia Madison
6lbs 8oz
19 inches
