Yeah, I have a feeling I'll probably tell her after the u/s since I'll be over 7 weeks and should see a heartbeat!!

I know it's still in the first tri..but I think it's best she knows..especially in case I do start getting the ms, etc.

Plus it gives her LOTS of heads up to start looking to hire someone to fill in for mat leave (which is a year here). Before I came back here, they had a bad run of people that just couldn't deal with the environment or were just crazy.

I'm so glad things are working out with your boss/work. There is nothing more stressful than a job/boss who isn't flexible when it's needed. x

I told my boss as soon as I found out. I figured the same thing as you. I knew that after my loss I'd have the extra appts and it was just easier. Sounds like it'd be a similar situation!

Vacation was awesome Loved every moment of it.

We went to Jasper, which is a small town in the middle of nowhere in the Rockies. We did a bunch of hiking/walking and a bunch of relaxing and chilling out. So it was good!!!

I was thinking of all the things the alienbaby (as DH is calling the bean..LOL..since they look rather alien like for the longest time) gets to do in utero... LOL.

So far..it's been on a glacier... which is fun
First concert will be Legend of Zelda Symphony, followed closely by Video Games Live.
First musical will be Rock of Ages..

Yup, this one is going to be a gamer and a music lover... lol.

Glad you had fun! I had fun tracking all the states Scooter "visited" on our Sturgis trip earlier this year.

U/S soon, no?

That's next week! How exciting!!!

I've done the same thing with all the things Sean has "done" like going tubing, visiting a strip club, kayaking...I guess it's just a fun thing for all of us preggos to do!

When you have to pee and there is nowhere else to go, you do what you gotta do! You'll see in a few months.

Well, I'm not feeling so great today.

We went for a walk after dinner last night (about 30-40 minutes), and by the time we got back home I just felt an intense need to lay down. I was hit with waves of nausea as well as something else. I'm not sure if it was just intense low level cramps, or a stomach ache, but I was feeling pretty wretched. So I basically laid down for 2 hours and watched some TV with DH.

WHen it was time for bed, I felt a bit better, but still woke up with the same cramps/ache a few times last night (they didn't wake me up, I'm just a restless sleeper).

To be honest, I was totally expecting to see some spotting today, but was pleasantly surprised .. but I'm still a little worried/nervous. I just had a feeling of "wrong". This morning I'm feeling better, but feel "different" at the same time. I can't really explain it. My stomach seems tender and I have some mild little stabbing cramps, but nothing insane.

But, nothing I can do anyways... just have to wait for the u/s next week!

Crampiness is totally normal at your stage, especially after exerting yourself. Hoping you will feel better until the u/s gives you peace of mind.

I agree with Adrienne. Totally normal. You're stretching and growing down there to make room for your baby! I was amazed at how early on I had to take it easy.

Yep, totally Adrienne & Robyn - I was amazed at how early I started feeling crappy. Take it easy when you can this weekend. x

Yeah, I figured I must have overdone it, even though really it wasn't a fast walk and I did much more walking in Jasper than we did last night.. but I'm even taking it easy at work today

And DH is totally waiting on me hand and foot, so it works out really well (I got awesome foot rubs last night!)

Definitely thanks for the reassurance!!! I am a worrywart..so this is definitely high on the scale.. LOL

Trust me, I worried until about...let's see...um today? Still worrying here and there, and honestly, I don't think it will ever go away until Scooter is here and healthy. But I take everything in stride, and just know that however things work out, it's meant to be.

One piece of advice I have is to enjoy every minute of this pregnancy, good and bad. Even on my worst days, I still relished the fact that I WAS pregnant, and reminded myself what I did to get here. Made the bad days that much better.

It will get easier, I promise. And yes, you can believe me. I didn't believe ANYONE when they told me that, but it does xx

I second what Karin said. Even when I'm downright miserable with pregnancy symptoms I'm loving the fact that I can have them. It does get better and even the third trimester, when you feel like crap again is better than the first. You're in the worst of it now.

The worry doesn't go away, it just changes. I have just chalked it up to parenthood and figure I'll live with this worry until the day I die.

That's so sweet your husband is treating you so well!

Thanks you guys I'm definitely cherishing each moment, and still so so so thankful that this is the worst I've had so far (and really, if it is, then I'm one lucky lady).

And DH has been really good.. I'm totally chalking it up to the Dudes Guide to Pregnancy.. LOL. Apparently the brunt of it is "she's going to go crazy, give in to whatever she wants and try to make her feel good. If you can't... get out before she rampages." LOL.

I couldn't have said it better than Karin. And then you'll have your baby and a whole different set of worries kicks in. It is glorious though.
