Ooh, sorry that it was rough for Appa this weekend. But, I'm glad at least he didn't bite the judge! Hope he's getting some good R&R now that he's home!

Sounds like He did not have a good trip at all. Sorry, it didn't go well but to Karin; at least he didn't bite the judge.

LOL, you girls crack me up...especially since that WAS a concern of mine (that he'd bite the judge).. LOL.

He was very polite to the judge, so *whew*. And it turns out my groomer got her certification with Appa with a whopping 88% score. So she's thrilled!

LOL, he was SOOO tired the last couple days that he wanted to do nothing but sleep. He did get lots of cuddles this morning when he woke me up at 5am though... (I managed to come down with an awful cold yesterday, so I was tossing and turning anyways).

It's always funny when a 45-50 pound dog thinks he's a lapdog though.

My parents' 80 lb Golden thought he was a lapdog. It was hilarious.

Well, I haven't updated in a while because I've had nothing going on to talk about. LOL. Lots of lazing about the house, feeling useless while DH does most of the housework, takes care of the dog, does all the stuff I normally do while I waste away on the couch. LOL. All for good reason though - I tend to overdo it pretty quickly (even a 30 min shambling walk is too much), but still, I hate feeling useless!!!!

Anywho.

Had my first prenatal appt today. I'm with my reg. GP until 30 weeks (which my first actual OB appt is made for Feb 25th). Was just the full workup (weight, urine test, blood pressure, pap, etc). My dr told me I should try to keep walking if I can, but definitely not to overdo it.

Booked my first tri screening u/s for Oct 30th, which sucks. Because I was measuring a week early on my last one, they wanted to find a date that would work both with my LMP EDD, and with the ultrasound EDD (the girl that I booked the appt with was surprised that the tech didn't move my EDD based on my dating ultrasound). Because they're only a week apart, they booked me for when I'm 13 weeks 1 day.

Which also kind of sucks, because I wanted to wait until after that scan before we start telling everyone..but dude... that's not gonna happen. LOL. That's just too long to wait. My mom is already harassing me for when she can start telling, and same with my MIL. LOL.

Good to hear from you! I'm glad that everything is going okay, even if you aren't doing much! That's what DH's are for!

Sorry you have to wait so long for your scans! I don't think I could wait either!

LOL, I have to admit, my DH has been amazing this whole time. He doesn't grumble at all, and it's ME that's doing all the griping. LOL.

Of course, that's only fair since I've been fighting this cold for over a week and a half that he so lovingly shared with me (which he got over in 4 days flat..) LOL!

I'm so glad things are going well for you, thanks for updating! We waited until 14 weeks to tell people...though we did give my parents and ILs the go-ahead to tell VERY close family and friends at 10 weeks! I know that wait is hard!

LOL, my mom's "very close friends" would range in the 60-100 people... she doesn't have any "just friends".. LOL.

I am figuring I'll probably give them the official go-ahead at 12 weeks. So only 2 more weeks... and I'll be telling my boss next Monday

I had my NT scan at 13 weeks, too and was disappointed for the same reason. Oh, well!

And that's great your husband is taking such good care of you and the baby. It's amazing how early pregnancy starts making little things difficult, so glad you're taking it easy.

Well, oops!
So many ladies in my DDC were talking dopplers, that I just went and ordered one Spent more than I really wanted to spend on one, but I haven't seen any negative reviews on this brand (Sonoline B), so I figure it'll be better than the $40 ones that seem to mostly suck. LOL.

So.. now I get to wait for it to come in the mail

I got the same kind of Doppler. I loved it for reassurance early on.

LOL, that's where I'm lucky that I work.. i could ONLY do it at home.. and i'll probably do a "only at bedtime" type thing or something like that so I don't get too crazy with it.. LOL.

Thanks Robyn, I'm hoping for exactly that!!! I just hate the not knowing..though I know that everything should be fine... I'm just.. a worrywart

I was good and didn't use it too much. I'm a worrywart, too. So I completely understand! And if you run out of the gel you can just use some KY jelly and it'll work just fine.
