Totally will do pics, but because I'm neurotic, they won't be shared until it's ALL done

Today is my "in between appointment" day...

Yesterday I had my regular monthly check up... failed the urinalysis completely.. lots of protein, lots of glucose But because my last ones were spot on, it's just something they're going to keep an eye on and deal with it if it's high again next month. My blood pressure was also a bit high (138/80)..but since my last 2 appts it was 132/80, it's kind of in my normal range. Again, just something to watch.

What I'm looking forward to is my ultrasound tomorrow.. hopefully we'll get a gender shot!!

Sorry to hear about the protein and glucose. I'll be hoping it was just a fluke. Hope you get that money shot tomorrow!

Well, talk about an uncooperative baby. We had the luck of the draw to get the ultrasound student, so it was a slow process, but she was great (so I'm not being sarcastic!). So first, I'm told my bladder isn't full enough, but it'll continue to fill up while we go through it..so she does the initial shots, changes probes, and starts on the baby...

Yep..baby is not cooperating..can't get about 1/2 the pictures they need to for the anatomy scan... including important ones like..oh..the heart. So after about 30 minutes of this, the actual ultrasound tech comes in (she'd been watching on a screen in another room) and tries to get the baby to wake up and move.. no go.

SO.. thankfully at this time I'm ready to burst..so she lets me go to the bathroom..ahhhh...relief. Now, the baby is active, wiggling all around and she was able to get all the shots she needed..so .. someone tell me WHY we need a full bladder? LOL.

Anyways, Because I had a student doing the ultrasound, they gave me a free cd with pictures, so that was awesome (normally they're $10). However...they didn't give me the one with the gender shot

However... we didn't see any danglies, and there were 3 lines..sooo..it looks like we are having a GIRL

GIRL!! Congrats!

(PS...I've rarely have a super full bladder, and every time like that, Scooter has been fast asleep! When I have a super full bladder...guess what...he still sleeps!)

LOL, good to know I'm not the only one that's had to deal with that.. hehehe

It was amusing to watch the tech chase arms around with the probe though...she woke up on a sugar high from all the apple juice I guess (since I don't drink water)

Congrats on your little girl!!! I didn't have to have the full bladder for that scan. They're big enough at that point it shouldn't matter.

(cross posted to my ddc)

FINALLY!!

Okay, so a few days ago when I was driving, I felt something like the baby was shifting position..since I felt it right from one side of my belly to the other..but wasn't QUITE sure if it was the baby or not.

Then this morning I was laying in bed, snuggling my dog (haha), and I felt some definite taps and nudges.. .forget the whole "flutters" .. I never felt those, or at least not that I noticed... but I knew that that HAD to be the baby.

Then, just now, I'm sitting at my desk thinking that my jeans are uncomfortable where the button is sitting right on my belly, and felt a 'tap' right where the button was... apparently the baby agrees.. LOL. (Yeah, I know she can't feel it..but it's a funny coincidence)

But.. I'm happy now

Yay for baby moving! My first feeling was a little flutter, then it was all taps...but then several weeks later, the flutters returned! I think every bambino is different, but it doesn't matter....

It definitely is exciting

Now, I hate whining much since I prefer to keep my "eye on the prize"..but..today I feel AWFUL!!

Yesterday at lunchtime the morning sickness form I've had has come back with a vengeance.. if I eat (even just a few bites), I immediately feel completely sick. However, if I don't eat... I feel sick. I hate this The only thing that seems to agree with me right now is yogurt, and that's not filling my hungry tummy!!

And then of course I had another insomnia episode - related partially to feeling so awful (woke up with awful gas pains interchanging with hunger pangs)..so..yay.

*Sigh*... one day at a time.

Yup. One day at a time is right. You know how long I've waited for this, and as much as I SAID I wouldn't complain, and I would ENJOY every single thing (which I still do), there are days (yesterday) that I just feel awful. And I know there are more like that the closer I get.

So, yes, keep your eye on the prize, but don't feel bad or guilty for allowing yourself to feel yucky either. It's all part of the process!
