21 weeks today.

Feeling pretty good, other than the exhaustion I have because of my cat. He's been waking me up at 4:30-5 every morning, crying to go out. Needless to say I'm off to get some earplugs.

Baby is doing fine and I can feel kicks/movements every day now for the past 2 weeks. It really is an awesome feeling. She's especially active in the evenings after dinner and dessert and in the morning. I can't wait to meet her, though I have a while to go still.

I have to set up my cervix check appt for next Wednesday. Hopefully it hasn't shortened or anything!

That's awesome you're able to feel so much and learn Sofia's patterns.

Thinking long thoughts for your cervix checks!

You started feeling kicks every day right around the same time I did....22 weeks! I'm only 1 week ahead of you...and I LOVE sitting around feeling the kicks/movements every night after dinner!

22 weeks 6 days
Hey guys. Long time no talk.
I think I've been feeling them since the middle of the 18th week regularly. Until then it was sporadic.

I'm so pissed at my OB's office. They're unbelievable. So from my first swabs way back when, we found out I had a mycoplasma infection. I got antibiotics for that and the OB did a follow up swab over a month ago. I ask for my results (note I had to ask, she seemed to have forgotten about it) on Wednesdays and when looking at my chart she noticed they had sent my follow up swab sample to be tested for a respiratory infection! ***!
The week before, I ran out of my thyroid meds because they didn't get the refill request to my pharmacy on time, even though I told them 2 weeks in advance that I was gonna run out!
I am seriously scared of this OB office. She seems to know what she's doing medically but they have horrible organization.
Anyways..

I'm still on pelvic rest. No sex, no exercise
She's been checking my cervix length and although still normal, it seems to be getting shorter. Early on (12-13 weeks) it was 4.7cm, then 3.7 and 3.7 at two other separate checks, and this past Wednesday it was 3.2. She wants to keep a close eye on it so I'm having it checked again this Wednesday. I really hope it stays up there or even gets longer.

Also I've gained more weight than planned. Luckily I'm carrying it well and I'm tall so the gain spreads out. I started off at 140 before pregnancy and now I'm 165. eeeek!! 25 lbs already!

Today I finally had a decent shopping spree for maternity clothes. I also had to drop in to VS to get new bras for my pornstar boobs It was so fun shopping

Thanks Kat

Well just about 25 weeks along now.
I redid my swab 1.5 weeks ago but no results yet. No problems though, other than some serious cramping last week. I think it was due to constipation though. I've upped my water and fiber, have gotten more regular, and feeling much better.

I have another cervix check and ultrasound on Wednesday. I also have my glucose test. It's gonna be a long day so I took the day off work.
1.5 weeks ago my cervix was 3.2 which my dr was happy with. Also, they measured the baby and estimated her to be 600g which is great and on track.

I had my u/s and appointment on Wednesday.

First I had a cervix check (3.0-3.1, closed ) and then they measured the baby. The measurements averaged out to 25 weeks and 3 days which is exactly 2 weeks more than she measured 2 weeks ago so that's great. The abdomen measured ahead at 25 weeks 6 days (little doughgirl! lol) and the femur measured 25 weeks 1 day. Both DH and I are tall so I don't know what's up with the short thighs. oh well I'm sure they'll catch up.

She was in a bad mood so had her back turned to us and we couldn't get a good picture Maybe in two weeks...

Remember the swab they messed up back in September? Well I redid it two weeks ago and it came back positive for mycoplasma which could cause preterm labour. I'm pretty pissed they messed it up the first time, that means I could have had this infection all along. I'll probably go on antibiotics again. I wish she would give me the medicine already! But she wants to talk to a specialist first. boooo

Otherwise I'm doing fine. I usually feel pretty good but this can work against me because then I end up overdoing it, walking too fast, etc. and by the time I notice I should slow down it's too late. Even walking too fast/too long is getting harder on my back. And the cat is keeping me awake again! he won't stop meowing at 5:30am! He gave us a good break for a week or so but started up again I've been procrastinating on getting him fixed but I can't put it off anymore I guess.

Hopefully the meds will come soon so you won't have that risk of preterm labor! I'm glad you are doing good, just make sure to not overdo it and also, make sure you enjoy your pregnancy! Took us forever to get here!!! Our cats keep us up at night sometimes as well. Last night the girls were just crazy hyper (and they are both fixed!!!). Sometimes it's just cats being cats but my husband doesn't see it that way usually. HEHE. Hopefully getting your furbaby fixed will help in his case.

Thanks Shasta!

My doc called yesterday. She said there's controversy in the area of whether to treat these infections or not, but the specialist she spoke to said to treat my case so I'm going on antibiotics UNTIL I REACH FULL TERM!! Yikes. I've taken these antibiotics before and didn't have any side effects but I never took them that long (it'll be 10 weeks I guess). I did some research and it's considered safe for the baby. And it will help decrease the risk of preterm labour.
As far as I know this infection could have been lingering there for years and could have caused all my miscarriages. This pregnancy I took some antibiotics for ureaplasma early on in the pregnancy - I don't know if that's what made the difference but you never know..
Most mycoplasma/ureaplasma infections are symptomless but can cause miscarriages and even preterm labour, and infections in the baby.
So I'm starting the antibiotics as soon as I pick them up, probably Saturday or Friday.

The kitty is being much more considerate these days. He waits until he hears our alarm before starting his morning meows it's sooooo cute. As soon as he hears one of us is up or that the alarm is going off, he comes in and stands in the doorway and starts! Thank goodness it's not at 4am anymore. He still has his noisy evenings but then we play with him and he quiets down

Baby is getting stronger these days. Yesterday I could see my tummy move through two layers of clothes! She had a couple of reallybusy days but has quieted down today. I hope it's ok that she changes activity level..

The change in activity level is ok. Joseph would have a really crazy couple of days and then he'd be quiet for a bit. That was his normal. I sure hope you found the answer to all of the miscarriages so that if you guys try for more children, you don't have to go through that hell again.

I have seen some "mood swings" in my Scooter as well. Some days, he is SUPER active, and other days, he's super mellow...I think it's totally normal!

Hope those antibiotics kick in, and do the trick!

Is there a way they can tell if the infection did cause the losses? Would be good to know if you TTC#2. Glad they caught it!

Sean would do the same thing with his activity. I would also get really hungry and would just chalk it up to growth spurts. It is scary at first!

I hope the antibotics work for you. I'm glad everything else is going good and that the kitty is being more considerate cats are silly like that.

4th day on antibiotics and so far so good. No side effects.. but then again I've always had an exceptionally strong and tolerant GI system I also bought some probiotics and am taking a low dose.

It's getting harder to sleep. It seems that last night I woke up every time I had to turn. Also my hips were in pain all night and in the morning upon waking. When I'm lying on my left, my right hip hurts and vice versa. Also my shoulders would start hurting I just don't want to work anymore so I can have nice day time naps..

Tomorrow is another u/s to check my cervix and an OB appointment. During the u/s they also measure the baby which is a bonus )

I am soooo tired right now from waking up 5-6 times during the night

I plan to stop work after the Christmas break, so less than two months to go!
