Thanks ladies

It has been a crazy couple of weeks...teachers started back two weeks ago and I had a ton of things to do...the kids started on Monday...so far I have a good group of students. I love teaching 6th grade. It will take a few more weeks to get them into my classroom routines...but so far all is great.

On the pregnancy front...all is fabulous. I have been feeling 100 times better...I seem to have more energy and I don't feel icky as much
It seems to be worse in the evening which is fine for me...I just go to bed early

I am really anxious to start feeling Squirt move....I know it may be a couple weeks....I just can't wait

I have an appointment with my OB tomorrow...cant wait to see Squirt wiggling around.

I splurged on amazon and bought a few cloth diapers...I had a gift card and they were so stinking cute I couldn't resist. My goal is to cloth diaper from birth...so I bought a few newborn and a few small. I also bought a few brands...flip, thirsties, and bumgenius.

I started making a mobile for the nursery....the cheapest one i could find with lambs was $50...so I found a video on how to make stuffed lambs and went to hobby lobby and only spent $17 for the supplies and will have enough material to make another mobile to hang over the changing table.
Here is the first one I finished ....I need to work on my stitching to keep it straight...but I think it turned out okay for my first try

  • Weight: 1130
  • Waist: 34
  • Mood: 99% of the time...and grumpy the rest
  • Energy: I have more energy now...yahoo...I still go to bed early
  • Appetite: much better...I try and eat small snacks throughout the day, carrots, cucumber, nuts, crackers
  • Cravings: I woke up this morning craving potato skins...maybe I can talk DH into going to Chiles for lunch
  • Morning sickness: huge difference...i get nauseous during the evening
  • Turn offs: pretty much the same nothing chocolate...yuck…I don’t want sweets, no beef or pork
  • Symptoms: nauseous at night...belly more round...peeing a lot more...nails and hair are growing faster

We cloth diaper and I'm an addict lol. We have all three of those brands and no complaints. My husbands favorites are Best Bottoms.

Whoa momma, slow down, cleaning your whole house is a lot but I bet it feels good to have a clean house!!

Glad DH will get to go to your appointment and boo that you had to reschedule.

I'm glad that you are starting to feel better and that you only have small periods of time that you don't feel well... hopefully those go away all together!!

That mobile will be so cute once finished!!

Looking at your belly pictures....I'm starting to see the start of a bump!!

Thanks Jacky!
I can see a bump without clothes but with clothes I just look chubby

I cannot wait for the big bump to show....I’m ready to let my students know...but I’m waiting until it is obvious.

I have been feeling really nervous about tomorrows appointment...I don’t know why...but I keep having these horrible thoughts that something is wrong and that the visit is going to be bad. I have been praying for peace but...the negative thoughts creep back in. Please pray for a great appointment tomorrow.

I have been feeling pretty good...I get nauseous every once in awhile

I finished making all the lambs for the mobile. Now I need to paint the embroidery ring that they will hang from and the stars.

Work has been great...I’ve got some good students this year. I am trying not to work too much...I try and leave campus right after the students. I don’t want to stay late anymore.
My grad school program has been keeping me busy...my professor assigns a ton of work every week. I spend most of my evenings writing papers and reading/outlining chapters.

Many calming and positive thoughts for you tomorrow. I understand the anxiety because even though everything has been textbook normal for me and I have no reason to think anything is wrong I still get nervous before appointments. I'll be anxious to read how it goes.

Good luck today!! Can't wait to hear about it!

And I always got nervous before appointments, too, until I could feel him moving around in there all the time. It's a totally normal fear!

As crazy and scary as it is, those thoughts are normal for pregnancy. Be warned, eventually you will start having bad/scary dreams too. It's hard, but just remember that it's not real.

Oh and I don't know if anyone has ever described this to you or not, but the first movement I felt was a super, super fast fluttery feeling. You know how it feels if you touch the edge of your tongue to the roof of your mouth and then breathe out hard and it makes your tongue kind of vibrate? That's the best way I could explain the sensation. It was crazy but it happens and is over super fast! You've probably got a few weeks though till you really feel much else. (I was 16 weeks the first time I felt that!)

My first feeling was so odd, it was literally like a bug was crawling around in my tummy. It was like that randomly for a few weeks until it got regular and more certain.

Thanks for the info on movement. I haven't felt anything like y'all described so I guess I will have to be patient.

My doctors visit went well....no ultrasound but she measured my belly and used a Doppler to listen to the heartbeat. Heartrate was 152

I have an appointment with the high risk doc for an early anatomy scan on Tuesday. So I will get to see Squirt then....I'm going to take a half day off on Tuesday and I don't feel bad at all. I used to get so worried about having a sub in my room....but I am going to start using some of my days...I have 12 weeks of sick days. What is great is that my work won't pull from those days until after 8 weeks of maternity leave...so I will have plenty of time left.

I will update my stats later
