1/2 cup powdered sugar
2 cups flour
1 cup softened butter
1 bag toffee bits (found by chocolate chips)
1 can sweetened/condensed milk
1 cup chopped pecans
1 tsp vanilla (I use more like 2 tsp)
Preheat oven to 350. Spray 13x9 cake pan.
Cut together the crust ingredients. Pack into a 13 x 9 cake pan, firmly pressing down. Should be mostly powdery feeling. Bake for 15 minutes. Will not look "done" or browned at all. May see some pits where butter pieces melted.
Mix together all the filling ingredients and then drop large spoonfuls across the crust and gently spread it out to cover entirely. Bake 25 minutes, edges should look like they are just starting to brown.
Let cool completely. Run a butter knife between edge of bars and the cake pan to release any sticky bits then cut 'em up and enjoy!
