Thanks for the warm welcome.. I'm a little concerned it might have been premeditated. I have tested positive with FRERs and FMU on saturday and sunday. Then this morning (monday) I took an FRER digi and it was negative. So of course, I freaked out and had a mini breakdown and was on the phone most of the morning with the doc office. Of course I never got through to the doc himself but he did send me a script to get BW done to test for HCG. I left work early and went today to get it drawn and they told me it could take 24-48 hours.
I guess I might have jumped the gun. I am only 13/14 DPO.. AF was due yesterday or today and so far hasn't showed herself. I am afraid to POAS again because I'm scared to death it will say negative. DH thinks I should wait until the weekend to test again and GOD WILLING the BW will be back before then.
I'm trying not to freak out anymore- I know it's out of my hands now. Any one have anything similar happen to them? My lines were definitely dark on my second FRER. Minimal symptoms- a *little* more tired, a *little* bit sore bbs.. but could be that I'm still breaking in a new bra. Very thirsty- don't know if that is a sign or not and i have a cold so it could be that... and constipated
Any advice to give me hope would be great- thanks!
Just stay calm. A positive is usually always a positive. A negative *could* be a positive just waiting. Hcg levels are odd - sometimes they are enough to trigger a positive, sometimes they aren't. Each test is different, some are more sensitive than others.
The bloodwork shouldn't take more than a day or so - but call the lab and ask what their turn time is...then you can be on the alert for when to call your doctor.
Just stay calm, that's the hard thing to do, but the best. My first FRER and 2nd were so totally light that I thought it was negative. I only believed because the clearblue easy digital said pregnant. My hcg when I got it drawn 2 days later was only 44 - so it must've been somewhere just in the 20s or teens when I initially tested, 10 dpo.
Take a breath, and go do something else to take your mind off!!
Keep thinking positive. When I first tested I tested negative and swore I wasn't pregnant. Hopefully the BW will come back and everything will be positive!
If you got 2 positives it may have just been a defective test or just maybe your urine wasn`t concentrated enough? T&P's

Maybe the urine just wasn't concentrated enough or the levels high enough yet for the digi. GL! We'll be keeping you in our thoughts and KUP! It sucks waiting for those numbers!

I took another FRER this morning and got two strong pink lines... my bbs are a little more tender on the sides but other than that and being thirsty and a *little* fatigued those are my only symptoms. I am currently 14DPO (today) so i am hoping its just a little too early yet for strong symptoms and now that i think of it i got up in the middle of the night to pee the night before last and tested with the digi in the morning- maybe it wasn't concentrated enough.
Either way, its out of my hands now and I just keep praying. Hopefully the BW results will come back tonight but it could take as long as tomorrow. Thanks for the support I'll keep you posted!
The fact that you keep getting solid lines on your tests and that your period hasn't shown makes me think that perhaps that particular digi was either defective or maybe your urine was too diluted. Or maybe there is a difference in the sensitivity level of the regular FRER and the FRER digi. The fact that you got a strong positive after taking the digi is a great sign!

I got an update from my OBGYN today and he said that my levels are 530 (which I have no idea if that is good or not!) I asked him if that was good.. he said yes it's just means I'm early- probably around 4 weeks.
Which would make sense considering I am 14 DPO today according to my temps... which told me I O'd on the 25 of October.
So I have had an appointment scheduled for Nov. 22nd to get my Pap done so he will see me then and go over everything. He didn't order me to get anymore blood work done. Don't they normally order more so they can check to make sure it is doubling? I called back (since obviously in my haste I was too excited to remember to ask) and asked if I was supposed to have more done and the nurse said that if the doctor doesn't recommend it then they don't do it... What do you ladies think? Should I call back again and ask for it anyways?
I didn't go back for a second draw. I was pretty happy with my numbers, although for peace of mind it might have been nice knowing for sure. But it took so long for me to get my levels back, I probably wouldn't have gotten them until today, maybe not even until tomorrow or even later (since my doc only works th/f). But that's just me.

You can always ask for it if you want it, but with it being that high already (if it were under 100, I'd probably ask for another one myself), you're probably in no need of additional numbers.

My first beta was 44, and I asked for another one when I had some mild spotting. 4 days later it was 366. I haven't found out anything more since then, and no more spotting, so I'm just waiting til next week for my first appt with my OB.
Maybe the urine just wasn't concentrated enough or the levels high enough yet for the digi. GL! We'll be keeping you in our thoughts and KUP! It sucks waiting for those numbers!
