My DDBuddy Melissa (*Melissa*) had some protein in her urine yesterday. She completed a 24 hour urine test and the results are back. She is being admitted and will likely be induced in the next 24 hours. Please send EVL's and lots of thoughts and prays to her and her twin boys!

She is in the hospital & has been admitted. They are looking at her platelet counts and concerned about the low platelet count (104 the morning of 6/21) AND her protein in her urine. She says if the platelets drop below 100, then it's emergency c-section. The platelet count upon admission (in the evening of 6/21) was better at 107.
I'll keep you all updated as I hear more.

Melissa's platelet courtney dropped to 91 overnight. She is being induced today. Platelets went back up again a bit with the last test and she's going to start the pitocin soon. She's at 3cm & 50% effaced. She is praying the platelets don't drop again so that she can get an epidural and try for the vaginal delivery she hopes to have. If they drop more, she will need emergency c-section and general anesthesia.
Please keep her and the twin boys in your t&p!!!

Thoughts and prayers! Hoping she has the delivefy she wants but as a mom who has had severe HELLP Syndrome i would have a c section with a spinal. I had a general with my girls and a spinal with my son.

Doc's won't give a spinal or epidural for platelets under 90 usually.... and the low platelet count is unfortunately a side effect of pre-e. So her only option if she wanted pain relief would be csection with general.
I'll be praying for her health and for the babies. I hope whatever happens, that everyone is ok in the end!

The boys are here!!!! They have different birthdays!!! Just What Melissa had always wanted! Kaden is 5lb 3oz born on 6/22 @ 11:46pm and Trystan is 5lb 11oz born on 6/23 at 12:06am! Kaden came easily vaginally, but Trystan ended up a c-section. Both babies are doing great! No NICU!!!!
