I don't think there is anything wrong with keeping the name a secret. It stops people from possibly criticizing your name and/or giving an unwanted opinion about it. It is really hard to keep it a secret though! We tried to, but we did tell people what our options were, which included the name we went with. However, about 1 month before she came, we decided on a name. We were pretty sure we were going to go with it, and we didn't tell anyone the name, and we left it off our 'list of options'. But then when the baby was about to be sent to the NICU at another hospital we decided on the name that was our first choice from the beginning (not the secret name), Mackenzie. Good for you if you can keep that secret!
With out second baby, I really want to try to not find out the gender! And if i absolutely must break down and find out, I may pretend that i didn't find out and not tell anyone  sneaky sneaky! And if i really really need to tell people, I tell people on JM!

I love the new countdown to 2nd trimester. Ahhh can't believe it! So the heartbeat was 140 that's what my son heartbeat was. My daughter was 150-165. can't w8 to hear bout your gender u/s. I hope its a girl but i know your hubby wants a boy. R u going to do one of those 3d/4d u/s?
