Spent a lot of time pulling my son down off of stuff yesterday and lifting him and by night my back was shot. I don't remember the back pain happening this fast in the past so it has to be the lifting. I don't know how I'm going to do this. My son loves to be picked up and it's something that only started a little over a year ago so I would hate to refuse him. He loves to snuggle too but he's a bit flaily and I'm really worried about that. He doesn't understand that he hurts me and he's strong. Diaper changes are also hard because he kicks and he's kicked me pretty hard in the stomach before but it wasn't a big deal before. I just don't see how I'm going to be able to do all of this when I'm bigger. I don't want being pregnant to take away time with my son but time with my son could be dangerous to the baby. Plus he's a climber and I have to constantly lift him down from places. He's a runner too but I was able to chase him when 8 months pregnant before I could probably do it again. When I was pregnant with my daughter I was still able to lift him and snuggle him because he was still little. If I tell him I can't pick him up he's not going to understand and it will hurt his feelings and probably cause a meltdown. This sucks. No offense to baby bean but this sucks.

I can't sleep past 4:30am because of kids. If I were you and woke up for no reason at that ungodly hour I'd give myself a stern talking to and explain that God isn't even up that early and there is no way I am getting out of bed. No way. Sometimes you have to be firm with yourself. Tough love.

Ugh, I'm having a HORRIBLE day.
There's apparently some type of Christmas Parade today in our town. Seamus' Taekwondo class is supposed to be in it, and I could have SWORN that I was told that we were supposed to be meeting at 10am near the Albertson's. I don't drive, and DH is in the field all week, so I have to walk everywhere. It's a little over a mile from our house. 10am is really early for us. Seamus and I don't get up until around 7-8, and Rhiannon doesn't wake up until around 9:15. So I have to kind of disrupt our schedule because we have to be OUT of the house by 9:15 to walk to Albertson's.
Anyway, we end up rushing like crazy and don't get out of the house until 9:30! Ugh! So I'm already worried that we're going to be late! Thankfully, after walking fast, we get there right on time. I don't see ANYONE that we're supposed to meet up with there. We looked all over the Alberston's parking lot, behind it, in the fast food places next to it... could NOT find anyone we were supposed to meet up with. We searched for half an hour. I don't know anyone's phone number. I tried calling the Taekwondo center, no answer (of course I wasn't expecting anyone to be there...). So we finally walk home. Seamus is crying because he wanted to be on the float... and I'm on the verge.
Tired, exhausted, and annoyed.
Just looked at the piece of paper... we're actually meeting at 4pm!
I have no idea why I thought 10am.

to all of those who've had rough days lately.
I had class this morning and I think I finally got this math thing down. I should be OK for the final in 2 weeks, and because the professor has something to do next Sat., today was my final class. I get to sleep in next weekend and be home all day for lil guys 7th birthday celebration day.
Oh and I'm 5 weeks today. I've officially met two out of me 3 early pregnancy goals. Now, I just wait to either hear or see the heartbeat.

So I am back. The hubby and I tried t sneak away for a little getaway in the desert... The one you would normally think of being nice and warm. Well it was FREEZING and on top of that we woke up this morning to 40 MPH winds. I have never been in winds like that. Sooo we high tailed it home!! It was an adventure and we are just laughing about it haha. I am a bit upset though because the hotel would not refund us for a spa treatment we paid for or the second night in the room. I would have been fine with a credit but they said we had to stay or forfeit it... oh well. Lesson learned, check the weather before you leave lol.

 Missa and Niamh
Yay Liz that's great (On both counts) I can't wait to hear that you've seen/hear bubs HB
Its been crappy weather here, Its supposed to be Summer I'm not impressed with Mother Nature
I've had my teenage BIL's here for the last 2 weeks and they left home today I always feel really bummed when they leave. When I met Chris, they were 5 and 8, we often had them alot because his Mother travelled for her art and so they honestly feel more like my step sons than brother in laws Their Dad was MIA from the time the youngest was born so Chris was always kind of the man of the house and his mother really relied on him in that way. Now they are older, we have them during school holidays or if she has to go somewhere (They are now 13 and 16). I get them back in about 2 weeks time though over Christmas (She doesn't celebrate Christmas and longggg story, isn't welcome in our house).

Oh and the best news of all is I'm not sure if i really mentioned but before we found out about baby, Chris was off to the top of Australia for work. He had already booked his ticket so he left the day after we found out. The stress was on to try get us up there as quick as possible, but it wasn't looking good. Its really expensive up there and the job situation wasn't working out.
Then I spoke to my Dad and hes moved back to his home town which is about 5 hrs from here, he made some calls and secured Chris a job in the mines and working security for one of Dad's friends security companies (Chris is a Security Guard by trade).
So he is COMING HOME next week its been 2 weeks since I seen him and its been the most crappiest 2 weeks of my life!! But we are all moving in with my Dad while we house hunt and then we plan on eloping within the next few months finally (I can't wait) The amount of money he will be on we will be able to afford our minivan and things will be fine (I've been really stressing about financial impact our very unexpected baby 4 would have!).
The town I live in now, I grew up here. Its small, everyone knows your business and its just a total hole. I hate it, I dislike 90% of the known population and I just can't wait for our fresh start

The town that my dad and mom grew up in (I spent summers growing up there) is exactly how you described your town. Ridiculous. And it describes the tiny neighborhood of military spouses that live out here, I can't wait to leave that behind. But it also sounds a lot like the base housing area that I'm going to be moving into (as per someone else's perception of the place, so it may not be as bad as I think).
Yay for coming home and having a secured job!!! That's great. I've only recently started getting fascinated about Australia (some friends of ours were supposed to PCS there but their orders got changed). I find it awesome that your seasons are flipped from what they are in Europe and the States.

Wow, Emma, you're a better woman than me. I'd be losing my mind. I always admire military spouses for this reason. I could never do it. DH may have to go to Chicago for work for a week and I'm already panicking.
In other news my daughter is sick and when she's sick it's like Man Cold. Last night she kept waking up randomly all night long crying and coughing so we neither one got much sleep (DH did because he was on the couch, the rat.) It's not looking much better tonight. She's on the couch with me in the living room right now and that may be where we stay all night. Le sigh.

OK Bit of an off topic rant. But I can't stand this Lit class I'm taking. It's not so much the literature that I'm reading (all but one book), but it's the darn professor. Oh and the fact that for the first time in my life I feel stupid. I'm reading, well should say trying to read, Shakespeare's King Lear. OMG that stuff is hard to follow. I managed Dante's Inferno but this one I just can't get and I have a short assignment due in this tomorrow. Along with my final essay being on King Lear and the Decameron. Someone shoot me now. I knew I should have dropped this class.
