I've seen this as a very popular thread on other boards and figured I would give it a shot here <3

Every bottle claims to be the best! But for Mommas planning to both pump and breastfeed what do you recommend for a comparable bottle?

I don't plan on using bottles much, but I will be using Tommee Tippee. We used Dr Brown's with DD, and while they were good, I hated having to wash ALLLL the parts!

I found this article online with the 5 best bottles for breastfed babies.:

The Best Bottles For Breastfed Babies

But I have no idea if they are actually any good since this is our first.

Thanks for posting this thread JennaBee! Im interested to hear what experienced moms have to say about this subject.

Lol I worked daycare for 8 years and I HATED Dr. Brown bottles! They were such a PITA!! We would mix bottles for our babies and it was such a puzzle to put the darn things together! The drop ins were also a PITA for daycare purposes because the formula would have to be prepared in a different bottle and then transferred because you cannot put the bags in a bottle warmer!

I'll be breastfeeding only for the 1st 4 weeks to avoid nipple confusion, and then introducing the bottle.
I used Dr. Brown's last time and like someone mentioned it has a gazillion parts. I was fine washing them (because that's what I was used to) but after babysitting my niece a few days and working with a different bottle I realized how much of a pain it was. I will probably use Tommee Tippee too, but will probably interchange them with some of the Dr. Brown's I already have.

BPA Free Baby Bottle | Breastflow - The First Years

My daughter loved these. She was EBF until 6 months and then nursed until 12 months when we switched to whole milk and a bottle and this was what we used because she was so used to nursing. Oh I see the Breastflow bottles are on the top 5 list cool. That list is awesome. But don't listen to the comments. These women obviously didn't read the instructions. They don't "leak", a little bit of milk gets trapped in between the two nipples but it even says in the instructions how to get it out and it's just a bit of pressure and it goes right back in the bottle no problem. Why don't people read the instructions for things anymore?

I breastfeed from the "tap" but when I need a bottle I use the playtex nursers bc I just thaw the pumped breastmilk in a bowl of hot water and then use the pump bag like a drop in.

With both my daughter's though they would NOT take a silicone nipple. Latex only. Maybe the latex was softer/same texture as my nipple and areola????

Just depends on what your babies like. I EBF, but one baby likee the Gerber nuk bottles and DD wouldn't take a bottle to save her life.

My daughter used to like the Medela bottles. The one day she decided she never wanted a bottle again .

My daughter had a bad case of jaundice when she was born and the Dr wanted me to feed her formula for 48 hours and just pump. I used the First Year Breastflow bottles for the less then 24 hours I gave her formula [I couldn't do the full 2 days and I read that it is NOT needed to stop BFing until the jaundice is gone] and we had ZERO issues going back to the breast after we stopped.

I will be breastfeeding but I am glad you have posted this since I am having twins and would like to pump occasionally, I think I will buy a few Tommee Tippee and a few Breastflow and hope they like at least one! lol.
