My Dr.s assistant called me this morning to ask if I was still going to be showing up for my monthy appointment. My reply yes. The she asked me where I was going to be today, if I was going to be around the phone cause my dr MAY call me today to talk about my ultrasound I had on the 10th of march. My reply was yes I will be around the phone, was there something wrong with the ultrasound. She says I dont know, I dont think so. My reply: So she may or may not call me today right. She says not sure your Dr just wanted me to ask if you were going to be around the phone today.

I hung up, now I am sitting here wondering what or if anything was wrong with the ultrasound. My appointment is not until tuesday. I am going to go out of my tree if she doesnt call.

What should I do sit and wait or call them back and demand to talk to my dr? Any thought would be appreciated

Honestly, if it were me I would call back in a few hours and demand to speak to the doctor about it. I don't like being left in the air like that. I hope it's nothing.

I do not like that one bit! Even if it is nothing- there is no need to freak out a preggo Mama like that!
Unless it's publisher's clearing house- you'd better not be calling like that.

I agree, I would give them a call back. I don't understand why they would call and ask you if your going to be by the phone instead of just having the doctor give you a call. That was such a strange call. I would ask to talk to the doctor right away.

I hope nothing is wrong. If that happened to me, I would give it an hour or so and call again, demanding to talk to someone about it. Stress isn't good for you or baby, the assistant should know that. I hope this gets all straightened out real soon.

If something had been wrong with the ultrasound, the tech would have told the doctor immediately. They would not have waited until now.

I would call back and demand to know why the doctor may or may not call and specifically what it is regarding. That is not a nice thing to do to a pregnant woman!

That is the.... absolutely dumb! How could she leave you hanging like that. I also would call back before they close if the DR doesn't call you first.

That's so weird. Hopefully, they just did not get everything they were hoping to see, or that there was just something that they wanted to see and check up on again. Hopefully it's no big deal. Give them a call back. If they don't like it, they shouldn't have called you for no reason to put you on alert for nothing.

I agree with the ladies... They should have called (prepared) to talk to you about the issue if there was any not to have you sit around the phone saying that they may or may not call.... That's just crazy... I would wait a bit and then call back to talk to your doctor just to see if there is anything you needed to do.

I agree with the other ladies. I would call back in a while. That was not right of her to call you like she did.

Let us know what you find out.

I would call them back before the office closes. You can even request to speak to the nurse and she may be able to pass on the info. I did that last week about some lab results, and even though the nurse said they like to let the doctor share that info, they understood my concern and helped me out. Hope everything's ok!
