OH DH job rants. I have that too. The person who he brought into the company years ago, has became the shining white knight and now has taken my DH's promotion of VP. On top of that DH had to take over his old contract and dude was doing some sneaking stuff. Now DH is left holding the bag. Oh and he never gets any real time off. ON his days off, he still goes in. And once he's home you would think he's a doc cause he's "on call" so to speak.

I really have to do better at eating. I've been eating way too much crap lately. It's hard though with Chris gone so much, I feel like I don't have to really cook anything.
I feel like I can't eat much of anything already. Like my stomach is being so compressed that one bowl of soup is too much then I'm in pain. Not even in the third trimester yet. Side note: scored some on sale Easter candy. Woo-hoo!
Pregnancy brings out thee worst possible sweet tooth for me. Oy.
So DH went back to work today - I thought DD would be upset when she woke up, but she was fine. Then I babysat my best friends 3 kiddos, so she was occupied for a few hours. But then came nap time. . . I took her upstairs and she wanted to see daddy. I told her he was at work & she started crying "No, see daddy in bed!" She was so sad that he wasn't home I got her tucked into bed and she cried on and off for like 5 minutes before calming down. Broke my heart!
Hopefully he'll be home once she wakes up from her nap, or shortly there after.
DH got home early - So she was thrilled to see him when she woke up from her nap. Sadly though, he's going to be gone tonight. Hoping he'll be home by bedtime - But he's usually gone until 9pm so we'll see how this goes. Hopefully she doesn't take it too hard. We're going to Skype with my parents after he leaves, so that'll help a bit.
It's so weird because a year ago - This was our life. It was normal for me to "solo-parent" for a full 24 hours every 6 days. And for days, weeks, months at a time. . . But now that he's been off a boat for an entire year, and has had an awesome work schedule where he is home just about EVERY night (he's only not been home at night because of work 2-3x in the last year), solo-parenting for a few hours in the evening and during bedtime routine is harder and a bit more stressful. Hah.
I think during her nap, I am going to start getting our bathroom cleaned for our move. And once she's in bed, I may soak in the tub a bit with my Nook.
