Yeah it makes now sense not to fence these playgrounds in. What if a car lost control? Instead of hitting a fence it might hit a kid. Not to mention of course kids wandering from the playground to the road, or in my son's case running from the playground to the road. He just likes to run. It took us years to get him to slide and even longer to swing and he'll only swing on his belly for a few minutes and then he's up and running again. We usually take them to the playground at the school when it's out because the little playground is fenced in and the big playground is behind the school and there's nothing but woods and a field back there and he just runs while my DH walk after him.
Do you have any baseball fields near you? They are a good place to run and are usually fenced in.
We went to the gym, story time at the library and stopped at the playground for a few min. I need to get some cleaning done around here today, I've been slacking this week.
❤ Big Thanks to Vicki, trishosaurus, & Shortcake for the great siggies of my kids! ❤

yuck. i've been fortunate when it comes to heartburn but just yuck. is there anything safe to take?

What kind of covers do you use with your prefolds? I used Thirsties with my girls but found a blueberry when Sam was in about a M size and fell in LOVE with it. So now I'm on the hunt for some more.
With the exception of a discontinued crap quality aio some hand-me-down prefolds and flats, all my current stuff is homemade made so I'm afraid I'm no help there.
I used pul/fleece one size pockets and I was happy with them once i worked the bugs out. I need to make a few more though to top up my stash. I didn't start cloth until he was several months old though and they're going to be a bit big for a newborn. This will be my first time using prefolds as an actual diaper. I'm leaning towards polyester fleece covers with a couple of pul fitted covers for nighttime.
We have a handful of parks in our neighborhood - And most are gated in. My issue is that some of the parks [well, most. especially the one right by our house] aren't fit for my 2 year old. They have other ways to climb onto the structurs, but NOT stairs/steps that my 2 year old can climb. Sooo yeah. . . And then when I do take her to the 1 park close by that she can climb, I have to always be close to her just in case.

There's a huge difference in size between a 4 year old and an 1 year old.
Not sure what our plan for the day is yet, maybe the open gym and the library. Looks like the weather might be nice today.
I can really only take DD on the weekends because we're a 1 car family. I can take DH to work - But it's a 20 mile one way trip and with gas prices, we try to only do that when I absolutely need to [ie: Drs appts, ect].

Ditto. I am 3-6 hours behind most the ladies here, so I jump in late. . . But I just start rambling.

See - I <3 pockets. I like prefolds and covers, but pockets are my favorite. They're easier IMO then putting a prefold on a wiggly toddler. Though I do have some prefolds & covers for this baby as I have used them a few times with DD and DO like them. . . It's just easier to snap a diaper on DD for me.
I guess it's just because prefolds are what I learn to diaper with. I do have 3 fuzzibuns and a blueberry minkie pocket this tie around so maybe I will get the hang of them.
