We're going to circumcise. My husband is circumcised, as is every man in our families. And we want to have our boy circumcised as well.

L is not circumcised. It is a cosmetic procedure, and I cannot understand cutting off a piece of your baby's body for cosmetic reasons.

DH is not, so we probably won't bother if this is a boy.

My little one is getting circumcised before we leave the hospital. I think everyone has their own opinions. We have our own reasons for doing it and it's what we think is best for our child.

We circ our boys at 8 days old for religious reasons. We ask for a modest circ using the plasti-bell procedure and pain meds, so it's not a "traditional" religious circ, but we do have it done.

I have only been with one man who was not circumcised and I hated it. Anywho, every male in my family I know of is circumcised and so are my 2 boys so this one will be circumcised.

If we were having a boy, we would absolutely not be doing it. My hubby is not and I also don't see any point in mutilating my little boy for looks....

We won't be circumcising. My SO isn't circumcised and we just don't see the need to do it - I mean we aren't Jewish.

Graham Jr. will be circumcised. Both of my older boys are done. My main reason is for my religious beliefs, but following in a strong 2nd, is health reasons. Working in the medical field, I have seen some nasty infected weiners on men (& boys) of all ages... even saw a 2 year old who had gotten septic from an infection that started in his fore skin....

Nope. Went that route with DS before I educated myself on the subject. I heard him screaming from the nursery and then we fought with it for well over a year. His body, his choice. The foreskin is there for a reason.

We will most definitely leave our son whole. We have yet to come across a reason for cutting him, but here is a list of 50 of some of the reasons why we won't:

20.) We don't chop off ears to prevent ear infections. We don't remove baby toenails to prevent fungal infections. We don't cut off legs anymore when a wound becomes infected. In the very unlikely event your son does develop an infection, we have antibiotics.
I think number 20 on Shannon's list is reason enough to avoid chopping off part of your son's genitals. But that's just my opinion I guess.
