For BTDT moms who used disposable diapers, what was your favorite brand? And did it vary depending on baby's size? And if you've had multiple children, did you find that different brands worked better for girls versus boys?
And while I'm on the general subject, what are your favorite wipes?
Thanks for any and all information!

I always preferred Pampers before i went cloth, and Johnson & Johnson wipes.... but honestly the grocery store diapers worked just as well. The only ones i hated were the "organic, biodegradable...blah bah" sposies... they ended up stinking and leaking a lot, dunno why!

I love me some Pampers, followed by Huggies. I flipping hate Luvs diapers but love Luvs wipes. They are exactly like Pampers wipes but cheaper. Huggies wipes made my daughter bleed! They were too thick and not wet enough. I was cleaning her one day and realized that her hoo-ha was bleeding! Poor thing. Never used them again. I've heard good things about Target brand but we don't have a Target around here. I've used other generic brands and always had bad experiences with them. The sizes did vary. One brand's size 6 is HUGE, too big for my 5 year old. Both of my kids are in size 5 Pampers right now. It's kind of nice that they can share diapers. It was a pain buying two sizes for so long.

All 3 of mine were girls. With dd1 I loved parent's choice (walmart brand), with dd2 I loved luvs, & with dd3 it was pampers. I never liked huggies at all. It was so weird that what brand worked with 1 was so different on the other. For wipes I always liked pampers best. My advice would not to buy tons of diapers before baby is here, because every baby is so different. With #4, which is a boy, I am going to try cloth diapering & making my own wipes.

We use disposables at night, and we use Luvs only because they can hold my super soaker overnight no other brand has been able to do that even the overnights. I personally wouldn't use them for a regular diaper though because I think Huggies or Pampers fit better. I personally like Huggies better.
As far as wipes go I like the Pampers Sensitive Thick, the normal ones are SO thin.

I use cloth as our main diapers, but I do keep sposies in the house for night time diapers and when the kids spend the night at grandparents (MIL and step mom refuse to use cloth when sent). I LOVE Target brand diapers. We just use the non-scented target brand wipes when we use sposies.

For Christian I liked LUVS the best, for Chloe I liked Brookshire's store brand and for Cameron I liked Walgreens store brand. Each child had a different fit.

I loved Pampers Swaddlers. When DD outgrew the Swaddlers we switched to Huggies because the Pampers leaked all the time and the absorbent polymers always fell out of them. Cruisers were the worst for us. So far Huggies are great.

For my daughter I used White Cloud brand diapers (10 years ago, wow that's hard to say).
For my boys I used Huggies Supreme, nothing else would hold in the leaks.
I love Pampers sensitive skin wipes. They are a bit thinnish for me, but they are wetter and softer and just wipe better.
This baby I do want to cloth diaper. Just to save some money and see the cuteness

I used disposables for my daughters entire 1st year - And have used them randomly the 2nd year.
For NB - I loved the Pampers Swaddlers. Anything after that, though, I was a Huggies girl. Pampers are a bit bigger and fit longer then Huggies - But I didn't like them because they always felt damp on the outside after she pee'd. And I didn't like that feeling. . .
Once she got big enough - I used Huggies over night diapers for night time in a size bigger and that seemed to really work. She's always been a night time heavy wetter. She still uses them today.
As for wipes - Now that I don't use them as often/as much, I will use off brand. But my favorite wipes when we used 534534 a day were Huggies.

Pamper and Huggies were my to favorite brands with Kev> With T I believed it was Luvs back then. With Kev I also used the CVS brand often and those worked well. Wipes, I think I used pampers wipes. I remember the box being green. I also used Luv wipes, I think those were purple containers.

We pretty much stick with Pampers and Huggies, his old day care provider accidently put him into different brands a few times and he had a rash all over his diaper area. Needless to say we aren't with her anymore. It doesn't matter which wipes we use, as long as their the sensitive ones they work well for us.

Tegan was my only sposie baby, but i loved the snugglers for him and when he outgrew those sizes we went to luvs. I absolutely hated target brand diapers. They were so cheaply made, everyone i would try to put on I would rip the tabs every time.

With both my boys when they were little I LOVED Huggies Supreme diapers. They were the only ones I found that didn't leak with them. After age 1 or so, it didn't seem to matter as much. As for wipes, I like the Huggies wipes. They are thick and durable!

I think it's a trial and error kind of thing. I used several different brands and settled on Pampers. I tried Luvs lots of times over the years and it was always a mess but my SIL swears by them. Of course I never thought I'd still be using diapers when my son is five years old...oh well, c'est la vie.

For DS1 Luvs worked the best and was cheaper. With DS 2 Pampers all the way. Store brands always leaked for us. As for wipes, I love Huggies (no scent). I think they have the naturals. I love the thickness for messy jobs and such.

Daytime: Pampers Swaddlers until Size 2 or 3 then switched to Target brand, which I love.
Nighttime: Huggies Overnights!
Oh and for wipes I have always used Pampers Sensitive and have hated anything else when I bought it (like if Huggies were on sale or something!)

We are going cloth this time around, but for DS we loved Pampers Swaddlers for when he was little and then when he was moving around it was pretty much whatever was cheapest. For wipes we used Pampers Sensitive wipes most often.

Looks like a lot of similar opinions here. Thanks for the responses, ladies!
I think I'll start with some that seem the most popular here, in a smaller amount, and then find what works best for baby.
This was a very helpful thread!
