I woke up with swollen lips, tongue, hands, and feet. Took a trip to the ER, admitted to labor and delivery. Turns out, I had an allergic reaction to macrobid. It is weird because I took the same medicine when I was 12 weeks and was fine. Baby is doing great and I am doing better with some benadryl. So scary though. I've never had an allergic reaction like that before.

WOW. Did they say why you'd react this way to it now but were fine with it before?? That's scary! I'm glad baby's doing well though!

they said that a person can suddenly develop allergies to things that they have had before. which is even scarier.

Thanks sweet! I'm so lucky it was an easy fix and nothing worse. I'm even happier that Aubrey is ok and it didn't harm her.

My body reacts differently, much differently to medications when I am pregnant. I have chronic migraines and have taken imitrez a lot, but can't take it for the same reasons when I am pregnant. Glad you and your LO are ok
