I had my first "weird" prego craving..i havent had any real big cravings during this 2nd tri..i am about to hit my 3rd trimester next week and last night the craving hit me biiig time..since Sunday i had been craving Doritos and rainbow sherbert..somehow throughout the day the craving not only got super stronger BUT they somehow merged..allllllll day allllll i could think about was scooping up rainbow sherbert with cheese doritos..ahhhhh..i told DH about it when he got home from work, he thought i was crazy.. we went out to run some errands and then he stopped by the store ran in and came out with CHEESE DORITOS AND RAINBOW SHERBET he thought i was crazy but it was sooooo delicious, i had 2 scoops of sherbert and even crumbled doritos on top..i know i know, weird..but it was soo good and the craving was overwhelming, i had to have it!! Baby loved it, he was kickn and moving around after, altho it could have just been the sugar rush but im saying he loved it as much as i did just thought id share my random news with you all..
OMG, that is a random craving! It's sounds absolutely disgusting, so I suppose it's the perfect pregnancy craving.
I haven't had any odd cravings yet. For about a month, though, I've really wanted a Dr. Pepper. I stay away from soda altogether, so I haven't broken down yet. I really, really want one though. This is a bit of an odd craving since I haven't had Dr. Pepper in years.
that is an unusual craving. Nothing weird here, but whenever I have something sweet, I want something salty to counteract it afterwards. Sunday, I made rootbeer floats for me and DH as a treat. And after had to have a handful of cashews (I splurged and got the salted ones this time). I seem to always want both, rather than one or the other! I rarely drink pop either so this was a big drink, and was like not even half a can. Baby wasn't overly excited about it though, movement didn't increase etc. Guessing that means they don't have a sweet tooth?

Now that is what I call a pregnancy craving. All I crave is ice. Every night before bed I crush some ice in my blender and eat a small cup full. Every single night.
I've not had any "weird" cravings yet, and I keep flitting from thing to thing. At the moment I have a thing for cookies. NOT a healthy craving to have at all. But yummy!
Let's go all out for the top 50 this month ladies. We've been getting chattier again recently, and we need something to pull us all together and feel like a team. Post post post any random chat in here and try to think of LOTS of new topics to post and reply to - we can do it! Who's with me?
I am!! i hadnt really been on much the last couple of months, i always read what was going on but didnt post or respond to much , i was just in a blah mood. not even sure why but i am better and feeling refreashed. very excited to be hitting my 3rd trimester next week..its at 27 weeks right?? soo confusing..and yesssss my craving was weird, i still am surprised i ate it and i still want more..ohh man pregnancy!! I wish i was craving salad with lots of veggies!! lol mmm dr pepper, root beer floats and cookies..ahhhh man, cant i stop loving food!!
That ice cream and chip craving is insane - But doesn't sound half bad! Haha. I am also a sweet and salty girl - If I have one or the other, I need to have something small of the other, usually. Hah.
No crazy cravings for me here. . . Lots of sweet and junk food cravings though, which is horrible. But much to my surprise despite eating a lot of my cravings - I've only gained 14lbs. So I'll take that
DD1 and I got a late start to our day - Not making it downstairs until 10am. Whoops! I knocked out again last night and slept great until about 6:00am while I waited for DH to get up. . . But I just couldn't get out of bed this morning. I also woke with my first charley horse in a long time - Which sucked! I knew one was coming, though. I've felt it building up for the last few days.
I was lucky enough to work from home this afternoon after registering at the hospital (!!!). Good thing I came home....the dog destroyed the carpet in the upstairs hall. I was only gone half a day....I can only imagine if I was gone the full day. DH cleaned it all up because he's a super star, and I'm super awkward on my hands and knees right now.
All this talk about food makes me hungry! I've been having freezies lately...yum...going to have a few before dinner

Dr Pepper has been my go to drink when nothing else sounds appealing! I've been having such a hard time drinking anything... but for some reason Dr Pepper always sounds amazing... I allow myself one when I'm feeling I *need* it.
Sherry - I have not been wanting much meat this entire pregnancy. Actually, I was living meat-free for about 1 1/2 years prior to getting pregnant. And I decided to incorporate only sustainably-farmed and humanely-raised meat back into my diet. I just don't want it though. Especially with all the talk of pink slime. Chicken is repulsive to me, unless I've prepared it and it comes from an air-chilled supplier that I can only get at one local market. Jeez I'm picky.
Aubrey - I think I might just have to give into the craving for a Dr. Pepper. Maybe I'll get it out of my system if I splurge the one time. That or I'll open the flood gates!

Jessica, I pictured you crawling around on your hands and knees. And then I pictured myself. I totally know what you mean. I grunt way too much for 24 weeks pregnant. My DH always laughs at me. And today, I walked out of my office into my staffs' area. And I started laughing because I honestly felt like I was kind of waddling.
Oh man, if I see a bottle of Dr.Pepper in the fridges at the store I NEED it right then and there. If I've already had a soda that day, I won't get it. But mmm... Ice cold Pepsi and ice cold Dr.Pepper have been so good this pregnancy!!
Posting some things for sale online- looks like we'll be moving before the end of June and I don't want to take anymore than we need to across the country

You might want to ask your OB or MW to check your iron levels. I'm the same way and come to find out, I'm very anemic and if my levels haven't improved next week they are going to do IV iron infusions on me! Apparently crunching ice is a symptom of anemia?

Yes it is. I had it with my daughter too and I probably should have been taking iron pills but oh well. I ran out of vitamins some time ago and pretty soon after that the ice cravings started so I'm thinking if I could just remember to get some vitamins it'll probably stop.
