I read an article not that long ago that our body craves what it needs. It may be strange but something in whatever your eating is something your body wants or needs.
As far as medical research shows they aren't exactly sure what triggers our cravings besides the obvious hormonal changes, but as far as what we crave and why we crave it? It's another mystery.
I like to think that our babies are intuitive and know what we want before we do lol.

For me I crave random things that are usually triggered.
Someone will be talking about something delicious and suddenly I have to have it! Or a commercial for taco bells new nacho Doritos tacos will send me careening for the nearest taco bell.
I swear all food commercials should be banned from tv for pregnant peoples sake!
I do crave chocolate out right tho. So I eat it.
My doctor says chocolate is a good thing to crave (in moderation to some extent) because of the antioxidants it will make you happier, an already obvious proven fact.
I have craved some strange things tho, well strange for me. I hate cranberry juice but I craved it so much I drank nothing but for a week straight.
I crave things everyday, fries have sort have become the regular for some reason, doesn't matter where they are from, just fries!

So what do you crave?

Have you had cravings for strange unusual things?

Had cravings for things you normally dont like?

How often do you crave?

Is there a repeat offender craving you have?

Has anyone actually had a craving for pickles and ice cream?
I always wanted to know who actually craves that.

For the most part I am just wanting more sweets than usual. I also have been eating a lot more potatoes though, and I am usually that interested in potatoes.

I've been a slave to my cravings my whole life and this pregnancy is no different. I'm not craving any strange combinations or foods that I normally dislike though.

Mostly I'm craving flavour combinations like cream cheese and salt (I know that sounds weird but I've been doing like chips dipped in cream cheese), peanut butter and chocolate, ice cream and fruit, peanut butter and honey. Mmmmmmm

As a note, some doctors and scientists completely deny that cravings even exist.

I can't get enough dairy! I'm not a huge milk fan but I want it now all the time. I must have cheese (cheese fries), ice cream, and sour cream. I loved baked potatoes with Evie and those craving have been coming back. No pickles they give me heartburn. I did just eat a whole thing of pineapple! lol

Oh yes, the peanut butter!! I've never been crazy about it, but Clint is & since I've been pregnant I can't get enough!!

My aversions are tomato sauces & Italian meatballs and seasonings lol.

I have more aversions than I do cravings. I absolutely cannot eat or even look at meat. The only foods left I can eat are salads with only veggies, cheese, bread, and some nuts. I love fruit, but I'm allergic to most of it.

I haven't really craved anything too unusual, but this morning I saw a jar of olives and some cream cheese in the fridge and I thought it would be really yummy to chop up some olives and smother them with cream cheese. DH thought that was pretty weird.

I just thought about the salty sweet combo
Last night I was craving brownies and tortilla chips
So I'd eat a handful of chips and take a bite of brownie lol
I like the Doritos and sherbet that's a different one.
