Haha poor men of ours. I'm pretty much dragging DH to see this movie just the same way he dragged me to see The Avengers... Lol! Like he doesn't have enough to deal with at home with me and now to see a movie about pregnancy. Dh said, "I can write my book and direct my own movie called What daddy-to-be can expect when wife is expecting... And believe me it wont be a comedy, it will be a horror movie"! I looked at him and said "you're lucky I'm in a good mood because I would totally go off on you"! He said he was joking, uh-huh!!

I just heard about it last week. We only get to see like one movie a year and tomorrow it's The Avengers. But I'll definitely rent it when it comes out on DVD.

I'm usually not into movies about pregnancy and parenting because the humor in it always makes me cringe and I feel like they usually mock AP type choices.
Though I did see an interview with Cameron Diaz speaking out passionately about not circumcising boys, which I really appreciate!

I'm a girlie girl about a lot of things, but not when it comes to girlie movies. I don't usually like romantic comedies because they're usually terribly written and terribly acted. And this particular movie is likely not my cup of tea. That said, it's probably something I'll watch when it's on cable one day.

We saw The Avengers today! Very good. We're total geeks though. Just FYI, after the movie ends, there are short credits and then a peek into the next chapter. Then the full credits play and there is another little short scene that is quite amusing.

They're still doing that? I figured this was the pinnacle of the separate Avenger movies so that would be it. I wonder what the next movie will be about? How was the dialogue? Blockbuster and especially comic book movies are so predictable dialogue-wise but since Joss is directing I expect great dialogue this time.

What was so great about the film is that every single character gets his/her moment, without it feeling like they're trying hard to make sure they each get a moment. Does that make sense? It's a long movie as far as action movies go, but it doesn't feel long at all because pretty much every scene is meaningful. Lots of witty dialogue of course. No romance at all, which is also nice. I was wary of The Hulk/Bruce Banner character because in general those movies have been so poorly made. However, Ruffalo does a great job, and The Hulk actually steals the spotlight on a few occasions.
I promise you will enjoy it!

I'm not interested. I think the humor in it is definitely lacking, based on what I've seen in the commercials. I am not much of a fan of slapstick humor and that seems to be what most of it is. The kid dragging the cat by it's legs and dropping it on the head? So not amusing to me.

It's 5am and I'm awake. We're leaving for our date day in about five hours. I am super excited about seeing the movie. I agree about the Hulk movies, it's like they could not get it right so they kept trying and trying when really they should have just stopped. I like Mark Ruffalo though so I'm looking forward to his portrayal. My best friend who actually can't stand him said he did a great job as Bruce. I'm really really looking forward to Robert Downey, Jr's dialogue, of course. He always has the best lines. also excited about Hawkeye since they barely touched on his story at all in the other movies as far as I know. All in all, I've heard and read great reviews and I trust Joss. He is my guy. If Joss is connected to something it's going to be awesome. I'll be certain to let you know what I thought of it when we get back.

Oh yes he is. And a big comic book fan so he should do the movie justice. Still waiting for a Dr. Horrible sequel though. I'd take that over the Avengers any day.
