I ended up the hospital today. I fell yesterday in the shower and woke up with some pretty bad back pain that was coming and going. I've never had contractions, so I do not know what they feel like so we called the doc and she told me to get my butt to L&D because every fall needs to be checked out. Thankfully, everything is fine with Mikayla, but I am super sore from the fall. The doc thinks I pulled a muscle. Feels worse than that though. But being this pregnant isn't all that comfy, so yea...Ouch.
They hooked me up to the heartbeat thing that they put on your tummy with the band thing and she was kicking it like crazy.
I am sooooooooo relieved that she's OK. I'm so clumsy anyway and have fallen in the shower even before I didn't have a huge belly sticking out in front. I can't believe I had to go to L&D for falling in the shower. How embarrassing.
Aw, hon. I'm so glad you and baby are alright, but please be careful. Do you have a bath mat or those non-slip sticky things in the tub? Maybe get a hand rail installed in the shower to help. We have one and I tell you I have used it a lot now that my belly is so big. I'm sorry you're in pain, though. I hope you get better soon and don't take any more spills.
You should not be embarrassed about going to L&D for a fall in the shower. We're pregnant... tired, out of balance, weaker than usual, and we're carrying extra weight in places we're definitely not used to.
I'm just so glad that you and Mikayla are both okay. And I hope your soreness goes away soon.
Ouch back pain hurts hope you feel better. Glad you and baby are OK.
