Yay! One more thing done! I've been stalled for a few weeks as far as getting ready for baby but I ordered my nursing pads today so I feel somewhat productive. The funny thing was as I was checking out the site I felt something on my shirt and looked down to find it wet. I was leaking!! I never leak before having a baby. That took me by surprise big time.

I used an Etsy seller. 100% flannel with a PUL backing. My SIL recommended them. $22 for 24. Good deal.

let me know how you like them! I only bought a starter kit (they are reusable as well) I bought a box of disposable as well and then one that you can supposedly wear without a bra where the material somehow does;t really allow you to leak or something. I wanted to see what I liked best but I will need more of something

I would really love to branch into non-disposable nursing pads, but I'm nervous to do it and then not like them. I am already so overwhelmed with laundry, I can't imagine having to take on something else that has to be washed special. Anyone have any really convincing things to say about cloth nursing pads, cause like I said, I'd really love to bit that bullet and try it...
Do you wash them just like cloth dipes?

I had some organic ones with my daughter and loved them. I still have them actually. I just tossed them in the wash with my normal laundry, never washed them specially, never thought to. I believe they were cotton. These are flannel and my SIL says hers like that were super soft. I'm not sure about how absorbent they are yet. I don't leak much after my milk regulates so I really never had a complaint about the organic ones. My SIL leaks quite a bit and still raved about these so I trust her. I used disposable ones with my son and just cannot afford to do that again.

Hmm, that makes me think I could probably make myself a bunch with the fabric scraps I have from making diapers. That would definitely give me something to do with the extra PUL and other stuff I have that is too small to make anything else with.

You totally could. I think that's what this lady did too. This is her Etsy page. This is the set I bought.

Mine just say wash as normal and not to dry on high heat (which I don't already) so I was just going to wash them with either my clothes or the babies... I HATE laundry so I would never buy anything that needed to be washed separately lol. I should correct that, I don't mind laundry I hate folding and putting things away lol.

Thank you!! I was going to have my mom make some, but she has been making so much that I didn't want to add anything else. Just ordered some. It's going to be so easy to throw these in with my cloth diaper laundry.

I've got a few... I don't know how many I need! I think I maybe have 6 pair of cloth ones (some bamboo and some cotton?) but I don't think they have any PUL. If they do, it's hidden. And then a girl from work who decided not not nurse gave me a whole box or two of disposable ones.
I also got a set of "Milkies" which are supposed to collect the leaked milk and then you can put it in the bottle. I think it's only supposed to be used while breastfeeding or pumping (if you only pump one side at a time) in case both breasts let down at the same time. But I still like the idea.

My SIL offered me her Milkies but I've never had a problem with excessive leaking while feeding so I turned her down. She liked them though. I think it's a neat idea too.

Being that it's my first, I don't know what to expect. They may be useless for me. So far I've really only had leaking from one side and it's just been a tiny bit. Dunno if it's any indication of what's to come or not.

Ok, hmmmm...well I didn't know you could just throw them in with the regular wash. I just assumed they would stop absorbing like cloth dipes do when you use regular detergent.

I got Lilypadz based on several positive reviews on this board. They're silicone based so you can wash them in the shower.
