Hi girls! Sorry I have not been on to update you all on me and Baby Rose. It's been so hectic at the Dorantes' household. You can imagine how busy DH and I are after coming home from the hospital, especially dealing with 2 other kids and attending to their needs..LOL. I took a minute to post a quick thread while Rose is sleeping and the boys are watching a spiderman movie.
Quick update on Baby Rose: she was born on Wed, July 11th @ 10:49am after laboring in the hospital for 20hrs (I will post birth story soon with details). At just 36 weeks and 5days, she weighed 5lbs 5oz, measuring 18 1/4 inches long. It was such an amazing moment when she finally came. Dh cried, and I've only seen him cry once before. We were so overjoyed...words just can't describe how happy we are.
She developed jaundiced on the second day of life, so the Pediatrician was a bit concerned on going home due to her tiny size and still considered a "preemie", but as long as she kept breastfeeding and supplementing at home, the doctor thought it would be ok to go home. I did have to come back the next day to check bili levels, which were ok.
As for as me, I'm just trying to transition over from being a mom of 2 o a mom of 3. It's a lot of hard work. I am very sleep deprived, and I'm a nurse who works nights, and being up with a new baby all day and night is nothing compared to being a night shift nurse...lol. But, it's all worth it.. I am breastfeeding and pumping..my milk was scarce at first, of course, but because of Rose's jaundice, I have to supplement to flush out the bilirubin. Each day that goes by, she's needing less supplementation, which I hope to wean her off the formula soon. I'm wearing my bellefit compression garment and I LOVE it!! It's been four days since giving birth and my tummy looks flatter than my other 2 post deliveries at this stage. Overall, I'm doing ok. I think as time goes by, and we get a routine down and Rose passes her newborn stage, we should be ok.
I will post pics in a sec, so keep checking this thread. I'm on my computer and all the pics I have take are on my phone and I haven't had a chance to download pics from my camera, so stay tuned..LOL.
I hope all you girls enjoy the last days of your pregnancies, because as much as I complained and whined about it, I really do miss it, especially knowing it was my last. I am constantly thinking those last few days leading up to my delivery and I end up in tears. It must be the hormones, but knowing I won't be pregnant again, makes me really sad.

I really hope all you gals have an easy labor and delivery...
