Shannon was right. I'm totally leaking colostrum! I was a chicken a few nights ago when she told me to go ahead and try squeezing the bbs to see if I was leaking colostrum when I felt all the tingles of letdown. But today I caved and tried it. I didn't have to squeeze very hard and right away a tiny bud of creamy looking colostrum popped out on the very tip. I got so excited...yes, over colostrum I'm just glad to see I have some already so I can feed Elias when he comes next week. Hoping this is a good sign I'll be able to BF without worrying about my milk coming in.

Thanks, you made me squeeze mine, lol. And I'm definitely getting some clear liquid coming out. Sweet. LOL, my son barely weaned himself about a year ago and I get to do this again I'm excited.
I remember being super excited about it too, but for me it didn't happen until after the birth. I still think it's amazing how our bodies can supply what our babies need .
I don't think you need to wait until they tingle with letdown, I didn't. I did it tonight even though I wasn't having any tingles. And it came right out. Go ahead and try squeezing just around the areola area a bit and see. Worked for me.
Thanks I'm excited too. Nervous but excited at the same time. I just hope we're ready. It's hard to know everything we need to do before hand, but I think we have the major things done.
Yes, next week. Next monday he'll be here if not before. So nervous!
Don't underestimate how awesome that colostrum is... my milk didn't come in until 6 days after my son was born, and yet he still put on 400 grams in that time!
You are braver than me, I'm too scared to squeeze the girls, lol!
I haven't gotten the BB tingle you describe, but I've been leaking for a little while tho. Makes me really excited too lol. So excited over the creamy liquid drops lol
I don't think you have to wait for any tingling. So give it a try
