So I really want to co-sleep, but DH says baby CANNOT be in our bed. So I was super excited when I found the pack n play we got, it has a bassinet type thing on it that can sit on the floor. So here is my picture... I need opinions on wether y'all think this is safe or not. I can't imagine it being any worse then a baby sleeping next to you, but maybe there's something I don't know
If anyone has pictures.... I'd love to see where your baby will sleep.

No photo, but baby will sleep in a bassinet in our bedroom for the first 3-4 months, then move to her nursery!
The print on your bassinet is so adorable!

The only thing I would suggest is to attach it to your bed somehow. Lots of people use bungee cords. You do not want there to be a gap between the co-sleeper and your bed. It's called side-carring, if you want to google how to do it.

Yep, this!
We have a snuggle box that goes in the bed that I used with Lily so either that or the rock and play sleeper right next to my side of the bed.

I'll probably do what I did with DD; part time in the crib which is right beside my bed and part time in bed with me. I don't feel comfortable having a newborn sleeping in bed with us but when he gets a little bigger and stronger he'll likely spend a lot of nights (if not all!) with me.

I am co-sleeping most likely. But I do have a bassinet near my bed where the baby will sleep if I so choose. Mostly because my toddler is still in bed with us and he sleeps in the funkiest positions all night long. Usually involving his feet in mine or my husband's face.

We will have a bassinet in our room, but baby will probably be in bed with us most of the time.

we have the same bedside bassinet, though we have it on top of the PNP because then it's the same level as our bed. I think it will work find the way you have it because you are so close to the floor.

I'm not sure yet. Normally I would co sleep but I'm not sure if it will work with one or both of my other kids in the bed still. I was thinking about a pack and play but I don't have much room for one...
I will get it worked out somehow.

We're using a 5 in 1 Cuddle Care Bassinet for the first few months which will be right beside me in our bedroom. I wanted something that I could adjust to the level of our bed since I'm attempting to breastfeed. If for some reason that doesn't work we'll use the PNP.
I'll post a pic as soon as I can! We're still trying to get it secured in its safety lock. LOL

I'm waiting to see what she likes. With DS I had this bassinet next to my bed that I was in love with.....and he hated laying flat and screamed. When I put him on an incline (either car seat (bad i know) or the swing or the nap nanny), he slept like a charm. So I never used the bassinet. My plan is to use it with her if she likes it.....if not, we see what works!

since DS isn't entirely in his big boy bed yet (especially now that I can't handle laying in it) I've decided we'll be doing a combination of bedsharing and the pack n play which has a bassinet attatchment on top that's near our bed height.

Eventually, Jackson will sleep in the crib in his nursery. For the first few months, though, he'll sleep in a lockable gliding cradle that will sit right next to my side of the bed. In fact, we just assembled it today. It will be easy to just reach my hand out and rock him back and forth if I need to. And I can nurse him really easily this way as well. I put a sheet on it, but it was boring. So I put a pretty, soft blanket on top of the sheet, and now it's dreamy. I'll have to remove that blanket when Jackson gets here, but it's lovely for the time being.
Here's a pic:

I just put up the pack n play today. It has a built in bassinet and newborn rocker. So he'll be in the rocker for a while then on to the bassinet. Once his room is ready I'll get a crib and transition him to there. I don't have a pic but this is one from the web site.

I have this pack and play from the ellen show that I plan on having on my side of the bed.
I am a little scared of the size of it but I would rather not spend money on a co-sleeper. I figure amazon has 2 day shipping so if need be I will just order a cop sleeper but am going to try and make the pack and play attached bassinet work first

Britt - As far as I know, the size of the co-sleepers vs. pack-n-plays aren't much of a difference.
Our PNP is like that - But Emmersyn didn't like the NB sleeper on top & we rarely used the changing area, so we're just going to set up the PNP with the bassinet and call it good. It's mostly a 'just in case' area, or somewhere to put her when I need to shower, ect..
