I'm 75% sure I lost it, if not all of it, some of it. I've heard labor can come as little as hours later and as long as weeks later. Anyone else lose their plug? Anything else I should look out for other then my waters breaking or contractions??

Bloody show. Such a fun term. But a definite sign. I lost my plug about a week before I had Doc and during active labor with Harper. Every labor is different.

Exciting! But like you said - It, sadly, can mean totally nothing & can regenerate itself.

I agree with the bloody show.

I never lost mine with DD1. I thought I was loosing mine this time around, but I am not sure now. It's been like the past 3 weeks and I am thinking more and more that it's more so discharge then my plug [it's changed from the discharge I've had all pregnancy, which is why I thought it was my plug].

I lost a bunch on Sunday and Monday, have been having constant contractions since then. Then lost even more today.

On the lookout for bloody show.... that's usually the next sign for me.

I'd love for her to come soon.... but DH will be out of town 2 hours away this coming week so I'm hoping I'll be one of those who lose some and don't labor for a week or so!!! Getting anxious tho

I lost some about 1.5 weeks ago, I think. Then absolutely nothing until tonight. Was really surprised to see another huge glob. Who knows if it means anything?

I started losing my plug last night, but it doesn't mean much.

I've never had bloody show before being fully dilated before, that's my body's sign that it's time to push.

You can pretty much never know if you lose all of it at once since they range in size and yet are usually fairly small (less than a golf ball) because by this point in the game (usually) your cervix isnt all that big or long and thus the mucus plug plugging it is not too terribly large. Most women will lose small anounts at a time because they start dilating slowly. Sometimes youll lose a big chunk when dilating a lot at once. Also, you can lose some and it regenerates quickly, our bodies are constantly making mucus. Some women go into labor having never passed it and will pass it right before birth. And some women lose it and go weeks. But apparently, as your body progresses, blood is released as cervix opens so if it is pink or blood tinged that means you are really close! But as I discovered, that also can mean nothing. After I lost a lot, and bloody it was, I was only 3cm dilated and I still am. So anyway, dont worry, you could still have weeks yet just think positive and good luck!

i lost part of mine a few weeks ago - doctor said as long as it wasn't tinged with blood then its nothing worth worrying about as it can regenerate.
