so i went to see my midwife today, the first time i have seen her since i got out of the hospital for my HBP. she was suprised i had not already been induced! so she went and talked to her Ob and well im going to be induced on monday! i knew it would happen but im still in shock that my lil girl will be here very soon!
not very excited about being induced but i know its best. my midwife says it can take anywhere from 24 to 72 hours because i am a hard induction, what ever that means. lol i was just so shocked i really didnt ask many questions.
i dont know if i will be able to sleep before then im just soo excited!
I think by hard, she might mean that you are not dilated or effaced. You will have to go from 0 - 10.
I was 1cm when I was induced because of HBP with my last son and it took from Monday night with Cervadil to Wednesday at 7:59pm to deliver. I almost had to have a C-section.
I'm being induced on Monday too! I'm already soft and somewhat dilated but my OB did mention that with harder inductions, she will place the cervidil overnight and start pitocin the next day and delay breaking the water. That way if the induction doesn't take, she can send the patient home and try again in a couple days. Maybe that will be an option for you. In the meantime, you could try the pregnancy ball and all those natural techniques to try and stretch things out. Good luck!
