Hadley Grace Olivia was born today at 8:54pm. She weighs 7lb 5oz (my smallest baby and longest gestation go figure) and is 19 in long.
Labor was insane! I was induced and stuck at 4cm forever! I asked for my epidural right before the doctor was going to come in and break my water. Well, it never worked. The anesthesiologist had to place it twice because it wasn't touching the pain. Just as he finished the second attempt I felt the intense feeling that I needed to push. The doctor thought no way, I had just been at 4cm. Needless to say they were yelling at me not to push as they rushed to break down the bed. I pushed once and she was out. It was incredible to actually feel everything, I didn't think I had it in me.
She's in the nursery now because she needs to have her sugars and temperature monitored because of my gestational diabetes. But she is already a champ at nursing, she latched on immediately after birth.
Congrats. I'm sorry you got stuck twice, I know how much that sucks.
