I don't remember this from my first pregnancy so I'm wondering if anyone else has experienced it.

I've been having a ton of contractions today. They're not all that painful, just very uncomfortable. But now whenever I have one I feel my heartrate speed up, my hands and feet get sweaty and I have more trouble breathing. Not like I'm gasping for air or anything, just that I have to work a little harder to take air in.

Anyone else ever have this??

Hope everything is ok Renee....I think I may have had some temperature changes when I was in labour but I had other things I was focusing on so couldn't say for sure. Call your doctor if things continue tomorrow?

I kinda relate to the heart racing part. My bh contractions give me that going down a roller coaster feeling. Don't remember about the sweating hands and feet though. Sounds like things are gearing up!

The day before and day off my contractions gave me that heart racing hard to breath sensation in my chest, that's how I knew they were different from my regular bh.

I just Googled it and I see lots of other women have the same thing. One described it as a "mini panic attack" and that's a perfect description. As long as it doesn't mean the baby's in distress I'm fine with it, it's just a weird sensation.

When I have contractions in the night, I do have hot flushes with them and yes I find it harder to breathe or take air in...more because of how hard my tummy goes, it's like I can't feel my diaphragm. I remember it being like that when contractions started up proper when I was induced with my son, so I didn't worry about it. hon xxx

I was the opposite - I had a slow heart rate in the hours before my water broke. It was btw 50 - 60 bpm and I was thinking of calling the hospital to ask about it.

Sounds like your hormones are at work and changing and things are moving along. Looks like signs of early labor to me. Anything else happening with it? Nausea? Poops? Mucus change?

I've been feeling nauseous off and on but nothing too bad. Poop is the same, mucous has increased a little. But I've had no bloody show and I haven't lost my plug that I'm aware of. And today the contractions are all but gone. I feel like things could be starting to gear up but at this point I'd say I'm still likely to go past my EDD.

Just to give you some encouragement, I had some mucus (pink tinged) at 39 weeks, and never again, not even when I was in labor this time. Absolutely NO bloody show whatsoever. Not even when the midwife gave me a cervical exam at 8cm (the only one I got ) So different than my experiences before.

Yea actually I get nausea and my numbe 2's arent quite diarrhea but they are much softer, (sorry tmi) and they are much more frequent. Before it was every other day or so and now for the last 4 days since I noticed the "mini panic attack feeling" it's not uncommon for 2-3 times a day...
And mucus, a def change. I notice a lot more "snot" when I wipe but nothing with any pink or anything, but since this all started happening my nose has been a faucet. I'm not sick or anything but I feel like I have crazy bad allergies *note I have no allergies!
It's just my nose.....
Does this add up? I've noticed this all separately I didn't think of putting it together
