What brand formula do you use?

Moms who strictly formula feed, how much do you give your baby per feeding and how often do you feed them?

Those who use breast milk and formula (if there are any) what's your routine? How much and how often of each.

What about temporarily supplementing, I think there may have been a few who had to do this. How did you do it?

Summer is still a bit yellow and I've thought about giving her one formula bottle a day and using that One formula feeding to work on my breast milk stash as well. I just have no idea what formula I'd use or how much to feed.

I am FF only now after pumping and supplementing for a few weeks. Mikayla is on Similac Alimentum due to reflux issues. She eats about every 3-4 hours, 2-5 ounces a feeding.

When Emily was first born and a little jaundiced, my dr's office gave me the Similac Newborn formula that's pre-mixed and suggested that I supplement a few feedings a day. I usually substituted 1-2 night feedings so I could get a little bit of a break and DH could feed her.

Even though she's no longer jaundiced she does get ravenously hungry at night (even after an hour of breastfeeding) so I'm still supplementing some with the Similac Advanced powder and pumping some as well. I give her 2 oz at a time of the formula and I'm usually able to get 2-3 oz. of breast milk in 15 minutes of pumping. I'm going back to work in 3 weeks so she's going to be bottle fed a lot more but so far she's shown no signs of confusion between bottle and breast and my supply doesn't seem to be affected either.

I use SMA, but I don't know if they have it in the US. Daniel thrived on it so I know it's good stuff and he was exclusively formula fed from around week 3-4. He used to have five bottles of it before he was weaned, containing the amount recommended per feed on the tin. But he was a hungry baby.

I used Enfamil enfacare preemie- which is what they gave her in the NICU. We've been all breastmilk for the last two weeks, but if she's not gaining weight like she should at her 2 month appt I'll supplement again. I was doing one feeding/day.
