So I haven't really had cravings or aversions yet. Mainly, nothing tastes very good. So if something does pop in my head, I eat it. And I'm usually disappointed but not disgusted, until today.

Before becoming pregnant, I had been vegetarian (minus the occasional sustainably-farmed, humanely-raised piece of meat), for 1 1/2 years. I was never a huge meat eater, and it was just something I decided to do. However, after getting pregnant, I decided to incorporate meat into my diet. I still mainly try to live by my tenet of only humanely-raised and sustainably-farmed meats (without antibiotics or hormones, etc.). However, if I decide I want an In-n-Out burger or chicken tacos once in a great while, I go for it.

So I wanted something spicy for lunch and went to Chipotle. I ordered the chicken tacos. Got back to my office, took a bite out of the first one and felt yucky. Not like I was going to throw up from nausea, just like disgusted by the food. I continued to try to eat it, but I had to throw about 85% of it away. The chicken seriously made me want to hurl.

I think it's safe to say that I had my first real food aversion, and it's honestly not surprising that it was chicken. As I type this, the thought of it is kind of making me sick again.

Who else is having food aversions?

I can't eat any meat this time either. I look at it or smell it, and I dry heave. I have not eaten any meat in weeks. I make sure I get protein in other ways.

With my first pregnancy I couldn't even think about chicken or be in the same room as it for weeks. This time I've been having a hard time with all meat but I've been able to eat it if it's well disguised. It seems to be getting better now, but today we went out for lunch and I ordered ribs and about half way through I broke out in a cold sweat and thought I was going to throw up. I still don't feel too great. I think in a few more weeks I'll have my regular appetite back. Most meat doesn't seem repulsive to me anymore!

Mine is broccoli...no idea why, but I just cannot even stand the sight of it. Had to get DH to clean it out of the fridge because I couldn't even look at it. Still can't. Been this way for about 6 weeks now. Hoping it goes away soon because I LOVE broccoli!

It's so weird to hate meat so much at this stage, when we really need the protein now! Fortunately, I know how to incorporate plenty of meatless protein into my diet.

I was ticked off that I wasted $ on that lunch! I ended up having a peanut butter sandwich.

I can't stand the smell, sight or taste of pork or steak! The smell of it makes me want to gag which is strange because I just love steak!

I had some pesto early in my pregnancy and it made me feel quite I'll. Its weeks later and just thinking about pesto makes me want to vomit!

Chocolate. I love it and can't eat it. I've been getting better and have been able to tolerate it in small amounts as long as it's mixed with something else. Pork I do enjoy the take but it doesn't agree with me.

Fried chicken, we walked past one of those places in a store where they cook and serve it. I seriously had to cover my mouth and run in the opposite direction abandoning my husband who was looking at the chicken. Yuck.

Nothing specific. For me is a general feeling of disgust with food except for pasta and bread with butter. I eat anyways but not as often and as much as before. Even water makes me gag. Ugggh. Also after I eat it seem as the food is on my throat (sorry tmi) instead of my stomach. Yack! I can't wait until this goes away so I can feel better and feel healthy.

I can't do dairy. Not sure what it is about it, but it makes me sick thinking about it. I don't even like seeing it in the fridge!

I've really gone off cooked vegetables. I'm ok with salad, and for some reason I'm ok with veggie soup as long as it's not chunky, but something about the texture of eg carrots, parsnips, broccoli and all the usual suspects is making me heave.

I've also gone off chocolate which is a bit of a bummer.
