It's driving me nuts! I have already had four appointments, I have one today, one on the 14th, two on the 28th, and another on the 3rd of March. That's like 9 appointments!

Anyone else dreading all of the unnecessary appointments? Like, I get it, I really do, SOME are needed especially if something is going wrong, but really, I don't need to talk to a counselor because you consider me a "teen pregnancy"

Today it's for a physical and u/s. The fourteenth is to go over bloodwork and fill out MORE papers XD I have another for WIC and one for counseling, and then another for something else. I don't even know. It's so draining!

Oh, wow!!! That is draining! I'll have my first next week, and then move into the regular prenatal appt schedule. I'll have to have one extra one early on for the pregnancy consult where you meet with the nurse and go over the "pregnancy basics" LOL...and also at that appt, you meet to set up the fun stuff with the insurance and covering your portion of the prenatal contract! Fun, fun!!!!

Hopefully you'll move into a more regular, once monthly schedule after these are over and you can settle down a little bit.

Why do they consider you a 'teen pregnancy' if you don't mind me asking. Is it protocol for counseling? I'm sorry you're feeling overwhelmed but I totally feel your pain. I am a type 1 diabetic and very high risk so I'm flooded with appointments Right now I see an endocrinologist, diabetic nurse, nutritionist, OB, Maternal fetal Medicine Specialist and a cardiologist all monthly right now. But once the 2nd trimester hits I will see my OB every other week and then once I'm 25 weeks I will go weekly to the OB as well as bi weekly NSTs and Ultrasounds. That doesn't even include labs and other appointments. Not to mention stuff for my 2 girls I'll be living in my car! I know it can be very stressful and overwhelming but just try to focus on one thing at a time. I found keeping an accordion folder with a section for each 'appointment' really helped keep everything straight. Also, my daily planner is like my Bible <3

Wow... that's a lot... I'm sure it'll slow down eventually

I haven't even had my first prenatal appointment yet. I did go to the health dept just to get proof of prefnancy that I needed for my WIC appointment.

Because I'm 18, I think. They didn't even ask whether I wanted it, they're just like OKAY! Here ya go! I'm like, seriously?

And I'm sorry mama! I can't even begin to that about that kind of stress. My best friends mom has diabetes and it's killing her family. :/ You're in my prayers!

I hope things slow down soon!

Hopefully it settles down for ya soon because that sounds like a lot! No one can make you go to counseling since you're 18 and an adult though right? Not that counseling is bad, i've found it extremely helpful a couple times in my life, but it should definitely be your choice.

Agreed... it should be your choice about counseling. Maybe, since you're on WIC and it's a state funded program, it might be mandatory for them to send you.

That is an awful lot of appointments! I sort of feel your pain, but half the appointments I have this month aren't for me (three kids, three dogs... yep).
