Has anyone noticed the color darker with an increase in hcg?

The tests just measure the presence of hcg, not the number and of course a line is a line! However, I've never seen the test line at least 4x as dark as the control. Even with my daughter the line showed up right away, but not darker then the control.

I'm anxious to find out my levels!

My control lines got really light and almost non existent. I read that the high levels of HCG pulls the color from the control line to the test line which make it so fait. So, I think it's definitely a good sign!

I hope that is true! Seriously, I've never seen a test line this dark! Even online! I'll ask to ask my Ob today

My highest hcg (when tested with my losses) was in the upper 100s and was still very faint test line.

I POAS last night and hadn't since the 10th and my line last night came up right away and was beautiful and solid and wee bit darker than the control. It made me so happy! My comparison the test line from the 10th I think could be considered standard, but it's way lighter than the line last night. I know concentration of urine makes a difference, but I did it in the evening, it couldn't have been any more concentrated that FMU.

The do tend to get darker as your hcg increases, but there are also other factors that can make it darker or lighter. If your urine is more diluted the test will be lighter. (so if you have been drinking more water, testing with FMU vs afternoon testing)
