I have been having some spotting for the past couple of days. No cramping or anything. I have been wearing a pad just to moniter and make sure but so far nothing has gotten on it its only when I wipe and its dark and looks like old blood. I am really worried. I have heard of spotting earlier in pregnancy but not at 9 weeks?? Is 9 weeks still concidered early? Am I just freaking myself out? Should I go to the doctors?

I'm not sure, but I would say old, dark blood is okay, especially if it's not enough to get onto the pad and you're not having any cramping. But if you're worried, it can't hurt to call the doctor - at least you'll feel better then.

9 weeks is still early. I would definitely call your doctor if your worried. I spotted around 8 weeks with my DS, and was put on light life for a week. Everything was fine though. Stay positive and try not to stress!

My Dr today said that light spotting can be normal at any point in the first trimester, but it's always best to call to ease your mind. Dark brown is old like the others said, so hopefully it's no big deal. I'd just lay low for a few days and rest and call, that's what they are there for

Dark blood is generally not a cause for alarm. But if it would put you at ease, call your doctor. (((Hugs)))
