Anyone else have a pet that is newly super lovey that used to not be or any other personality changes?

my cat is not aggressive, but he's fightesy and not a people person. He has been a total lap cat since conception and sleeping at my feet. He's very protective of me. The dog could careless, but the change in my cat is alarming! Seriously sitting in my lap and purring while I cut his nails and kissing me after is not him!!! Usually he's hiding around the corner waiting to pounce and I can't get maybe a few nails at a time before he losses patience. I love the new him, but wow! Lol!

This is my third pregnancy with my dog. Usually my dog is a man's man. He always follows my husband in whatever room he is in. But when I'm pregnant, he sticks with me. It's actually kind of annoying when I'm cleaning house and he's right at my ankles... which is kind of funny because he's kind of a mopey/lazy dog. He acts like it takes so much work to follow me around. He sighs and groans, lol.

My dog doesnt really cuddle but she follows me all around the house like I've got bacon in my pockets! Its kinda hard to mop floors with her standing next to me or in front of me!

Yes! My cat is so annoyingly loving! I've been meaning to post about this for a while. He snuggles with me on the couch, he's up closer snuggling with me in bed... I keep getting up to check his food dish (that's usually when he gets the most affectionate), but it will be full...

It's funny you mention this because I've noticed that my female cat started curling up with me when I first go to bed since I got pregnant, while I haven't noticed much of a change in my male cat.

Jamie our cat is the same way with food! We joke we like to starve him just a little bit because he is nicer! Really he's a super big cat and could eat all day. Vet said he's 8 pounds overweight (18 pounds, should be 8-10 pounds).

Ohfiddleheads, that's funny about the gender! Both our dog and cat are males. I can't truly compare genders. Although the cat is quite a bit more "motherly" if that makes sense. The dog is all boy (just because they are fixed doesn't take away their sex drive according to the vet and he will gladly prove it).

Hahaha, our cat is huge too. He's well over 20 pounds by now. He's somewhere between 20-25. He's just a big cat too though, he's not just fat. We got him from the pound though and he has always been concerned when the dish gets a little low and has to let us know, lol.
