Day 1 of 16, and already my kids have got me wishing school was back!

I love my kids, but with 6, and 2 being toddlers and one who refuses to nap and is always hyper or crying cus he isnt getting his way ..makes it for a hard day. I thank god DH was off this past week and we got about 90% of our Christmas shopping done but now that the kids are off school, he goes back to work. Go figure. lol

Anybody elses kids off school and how is it going?

I am on rest to, so to tend to them is making it hard to rest and I cant explain to them yet to be quiet and sit doing something constructive rather than hyper

Pointless thread, but had to get it out.

We are always here for you to let loose and tell us how you feel My son is too young for school, so I don't know what you are going through, but I can sympathize. Do your older kids help with the younger ones at all?

((hugs)) school breaks stink sometimes!
We are on vacation most of our break so it's not too bad. But...i totally get the extra stress of having everyone home! I hope the break goes smoothly. I'd certainly have the big ones "babysit" the little ones as much as possible! Even if it meant bribing with some money or something!

We've got short holiday this Christmas. Ours doesn't start till Dec 20th and they go back Jan 3rd. I'm kinda already dreading the break and it isn't even here yet. Plus T will be down and T & A1 do nothing but fight nonstop I can already hear the bickering. As funny as it sounds though I do miss them being in year round and having a full month off for winter break.

I'm sure it's hard to rest with everyone out of their routine and "at each other". Mine are always home since we home school There are days I just send them outside to run around the house 3 times, lol! With our temporary housing being a 2 bedroom trailer we've had to learn to deal with each other a lot better! There's a lot of elbow knocking in this small space!

I hope they find some things to keep them occupied and you get your rest!
