Our DD (3) has been saying the funniest stuff about the baby! She is so excited. First of all she is conviced its a girl. When I tell her it might be a boy she gets really upset.

She touches my belly and says "mom, I can't feel your baby in your tummy..." and then she says, "Can you take it out so I can see it?"

When she asked how it comes out she said "Do you have to make a little hole?"
lmao.

We have been rolling on the floor laughing at her questions & reasoning!

LMAO that is TOO cute!

My step-daughter is 10 and she's VERY excited. She really really really hopes it's a girl because she has 4 brothers (2 half and 2 step) at her mom's house. But, she's made it clear she's not interested in changing poop diapers

I haven't told my kids, because I don't want them to spill the beans on me. We'll tell them when we tell everyone else.

My DD is super excited! She wrote a song about how much she loves the baby and cannot wait to be a big sister. She's impatient, though, and keeps asking if it's time yet.

We told the kids last night. They are very excited. They were wanting to know if it is a boy or girl. My dd said that she has enough baby brothers and wants a sister. My ds wants to name it, and I told him he could help us come up with a nickname for it. I am going to try to keep them involved in the pregnancy. My ds really wants to go to my next appointment with me to see the ultrasound, and hear the heartbeat.

My 2 year old asks to kiss the baby, he points and says "there is baby in mommy's tummy". He calls the baby Henry, and then also asks "Where's Thomas?" and then pokes around and says "There's baby Thomas." ***. He is stuck on this darn twins thing. He got Henry cuz I told him if we had a boy it'd be Henry and if we had a girl it'd be Molly. Well apparently he thinks we're having two boys named Henry and Thomas, and are naming them after the TV show. lmao. He asks if the baby can come out and play with him. I tell him baby has to grow bigger. So then he'll wait a few minutes and say "baby grew bigger. can baby come out now?" It's safe to say, he's excited.

Have not told DD yet. She would be talking and singing about it all the time I'm sure. And everyone would know

We are not telling the kids for a long time.

DaniM0820 - that is funny about the pets. The oldest dog I have had the longest has gone though this with me before and is VERY protective and cuddly. He was so great during my labor and delivery with my daughter. He sat at attention the whole time right next to the birth pool. He was more attentive that DH lol!!!

My four yr old tells me there are two boys in there and will argue with anyone who tries to tell him different.

I am sure our angel son is smiling down at us. I do not have any other children but our cats becomes book ends on the couch with me in the middle and one cat on each end of the same couch. Also the youngest have a habit of sleeping by our feet and get in the way. still love them.

I am praying everything is okay with this baby, because Xavier told me the other day "your belly is like santa's work shop, elves are building a baby" It melted my heart...this was right before the sonogram....then we didnt see a baby. He also likes to lay his head on my belly now and say "im holding baby"
