So I had my first ultrasound on Friday. I was 7 weeks 4 days. I saw the heartbeat and it was so exciting! Heart rate was 126 bpm. The doctor said everything looks good, and I am on target for my first OB visit on 1/31. However, afterward I started looking googling heart rates for 7 weeks pregnant. Does 126 seem low to you? Maybe I am just paranoid, it being my first baby/pregnancy. It just seemed like the heart rate should have been a bit higher. The doctor didn't mention anything regarding the heart rate, but I'm just worried. Any thoughts?

When mine was checked at 7 weeks which was this past friday the heart rate was 130bpm. So it is a normal range. With my last pregnancy that ended in still birth started with 150bpm and then last time we saw him alive was a strained 162bpm.

Go with what the doctor said - they'd tell you if it's low. When I measured 6 weeks last week (108 hb), the doctor said 120-180 would be normal for our next visit this week, at 7 wks.

126 Sounds perfectly acceptable. I'm sure your doctor would have said something if it was cause for concern.

Well, we had 123 bpm at 6w4d so I guess we both fit in just fine! My doc also said my little bean is right on spot, so I choose to trust him and not worry (because I am a very very big worrier )

It probably won't get better if you are already stressing Just try to relax and enjoy your pregnancy. I know its way easier said than done though!

Maybe it just means you're having a boy? They say boys have lower HB and girls are higher.

Never. Wait until he or she is born and a whole other slew of things to worry about appear!
