So right now i am student teaching in a kindergarten classroom and the inevitable happened.... one of the tiny infected people got me sick.... and i was wondering if anything is safe to take for my cold.. I am a little feverish im congested and have a sore throat and achey any advise is appreciated.

The old sudafed is supposed to be ok - the sudoephedrin - the one that is behind the counter now.

I try to avoid anything unless I am dying, but I turned to sudafed last week when I couldn't sleep.

I second what Ami said... I try not to take anything unless I can't take it anymore. I caved and took some tylenol when I was about 4 weeks bc I had a horrible migraine that would just not go away.

You could try the shower trick too.. where you turn the shower on as hot as you can get it and let it steam up the bathroom and hang out in there!

thanks yea i only took Tylenol yesterday because my fever was getting a little out of control.

You can take Tylenol Cold, too, if you think it'd help with your symptoms. Hope you feel better soon!
