Anyone taking that? And is it helping? My OB recommended trying that for my m/s. DH got me some Vit B6 (100 dose) and I took one this morning and can't necessairly feel a difference. He got Benadryl instead of Unisom cause the pharmacist told him it's the same idea. I need to return and get Unisom.
Any experience?

I take 50mg B6 daily for M/S, but I've taken it since I found out I was pregnant (I was taking 100mg daily before pregnancy to support my LP, and cut it back to 50mg when I got my BFP at the recommendation of my MW), so I have nothing to compare it to as far as taking it vs not. I've never heard the Unisom idea. I guess it helps you fall asleep instead of laying there feeling sick? I may need to try that with the nights I've been having!

It really works! I tried just the B6 and it didn't do anything. Then I added the unisom and it has worked wonders. Before I was queasy all day and now I actually enjoy eating. I won't say that I feel perfect, but much better!

Unisom and benadryl are the same thing. The active ingredient in both are the same. I take b6, but I was taking it before I got pregnant. I don't know if it has helped, but with how horrible I was feeling I doubt it helped much. I didn't try the unisom with it.

Since a few of you are taking unisom/benadryl with the B6, can you tell me how you take it and the theory behind it working? Do you take them both before bed? For me, benadryl absolutely knocks me out, so there's no way I can take it any other time of day. I'd like to maybe try it to see if it helps my M/S out a bit. Just curious...TIA!

I take a b6 and unisom at night right before bed. I don't know for sure why it works but apparently the main ingredient (doxylamine succinate) helps the nausea. I was reluctant to try it because I don't like to take meds but am glad I tried it. I have heard that some people also take one in the morning but I am afraid that it would make me even sleepier than I already am and one pill at night seems to be doing the trick.
