Are any of you planning on traveling while you are pregnant? Any vacations planned?

We had originally planned on taking our 2 oldest to disney(for the 1st time) for their 5th and 7th birthdays this fall, but with the twins due in sept and probably born in August that idea is out the window. But, Since we are expecting twins and we know we won't be able to get out of the house for a real vacation for awhile after they are born DH and I want to go on a vacation (just us 2) before the babies come. Checked with the dr yesterday and he OK'd a cruise but said there would be no traveling for me after May 10th! (Because we don't want preterm babies being born on a cruiseship somewhere in the middle of the carribean LOL) So it looks like we will be taking a cruise in April sometime. Anyone else doing the one last trip before you add to your family??? Where are you going, and are you excited?

we have zero funds for a vacation, so no trips again this year.

make sure you check with your cruise line, most of them do not allow you to cruise after 20 weeks - and April will be right around 20'ish weeks.

I will double check but I'm pretty sure our cruise line will allow it through the 2nd trimester. But they also require a note from your dr. My dr already said just get the form and he will sign it

Just double checked and it says 24 weeks or less. So I think I should still be safe

We will be travelling to MI in a few weeks because DH has an interview at a church there. It will be a long weekend trip so not a huge vacation or anything. Then there is a possibility we will be moving there if things go well.

Other than that the only other vacation we had kind of planned was to go to a family camp with my family the middle of August. We aren't sure we are going to do that now though partially because of the baby and also depends on if we end up moving.

DH and I are going to the Dominican Republic for our honeymoon in April. Originally the plan was to wait until after then to try for a baby, but it didn't work out that way! So I will be sipping on virgin pina coladas and enjoying the relaxation!

We usually travel quite a bit and we're cutting way back, mostly to save money in case we decide to test the single-income waters after the baby is born. My cousin is getting married about 1000 miles away when I'll be 35 weeks. If my midwife says it's okay to drive out, then we'll go and turn it into a little vacation, but definitely no flying at that time.

One last big trip would be really nice, but I have a feeling we'll be hanging up our passports until the kid is old enough to come along.

We will be traveling to visit family in March. We were going to go over the summer, but I don't think that will be a good idea. We will be going to Arkansas and Indiana. We will only be gone for a week, so it wont be a long trip just a lot of driving.

We are going to Disney world for two or three days at the beginning of March (we only live a couple hours away from Disney, so it's not that big of a trip, really).

And I'm probably going to fly out to Texas at some point in the third trimester, but those plans have not been finalized.

I'm driving (18hrs) or flying out (3 hrs driving to airport) mid-June and making a wedding cake for a best friend of mine. I hope I am sane to do it! Should be okay though. I think you can fly at that time (like 27weeks ish?)

I am in my friends wedding on June 30th, I'll be about 28 weeks. I'm praying for a healthy pregnancy bc she will kill me if I can't make it, and we have to fly there!

We have no set plans yet, but we usually make 2-3 beach trips a year. It's about a 4hr drive to the FL beaches, so it's not a huge trip. We'll probably go around late April/early May with the boys and then DH and I may make our own trip around early August before baby comes! We love our beach trips! We always take mini-trips, too. Like day trips to Atlanta for different things. We will probably take the boys to the aquarium and the Atlanta Zoo, and maybe to the Montgomery Zoo. Just little stuff like that!

Our only planned trip is to Upstate NY (a 6 hr drive) to visit my grandparents at their farm We go every year but usually in the middle-end of summer. This year we are going to go Memorial Day weekend so it won't be too hot and I won't be too big and uncomfortable (I hope).

Our 2nd wedding anniversary is August 20th. I'll be on my disability leave by then but I doubt we will be going anywhere--maybe just to dinner or something local. And hanging out in my parents' pool

we are going to Disney World mid May for 5 days and I'm super excited! I'll be around 26 weeks then and it should be too hot.

We were actually hoping to move back home around the first to middle of September. Unfortunately home is about 1400 miles. Don't think I want to do that with a 5 year old and 9 months pregnant. I can just imagine having my baby at some WalMart parking lot in the middle of Arkansas on the way through.
